2025 Transfer Portal Thread

If we represent the opposite of everything Adams disliked about UCONN, I’m not sure why he’d go to Alabama. Alabama is basically UCONN without the championships.
If he doesn’t visit, he isn’t coming. If he visits, I think we become the leader. We’re in this late, but can’t gauge leaders before we get a swing.

Once you get to 2(5), you round to the nearest 10, which is 30
So a 4-year- old is actually 0/a new born, since you round down when less than 5.
That's silly, and I hope you realize there is a difference between, say, a 15 -year- old and a 20- year- old? I mean surely you wouldn't date a 15- year- old and claim they almost 20?
The guy is 25 . That's what he is. If allowed, he could play a whole college career again by the time he is 30.

I know rankings don’t mean everything but if we land Adams we would have the number 2 class in the country on 247 sports.

That includes both the composite rankings (high school only) and overall (high school and portal).

If Barnes signs the number 2 class in the country in this NIL landscape at 70 years old we need to build this man a statue.

Has any prominent player not turned into a bidding war this cycle? I only know his UConn number, which is low against the market. Given his current suitors, I have to assume a 30-50% bump. On the positive side, we represent all the things he didn’t like about UCOnn.
That's an interesting last comment. Curious why he committed there if he actively had issues with something(s).

You think he needs to visit here for us to have a chance? I don’t, he’s already been here, I think us going to see him and his family/agents could be necessary though.

We talked to him last week. I’ve heard nothing on him since he canceled UK visit. At that point it was Miami or return to Bama. Wondering if it’s done.
Supposedly he’s pretty much begging to go back to Alabama, would love to see that one get done ASAP because that’s another addition and a “veteran” one to a backcourt, I would see that as a deterrent to a Adams.

Fair. In person is going to be required. He has a new agent. It could happen in home.

Maybe there’s more to it, all I’ve heard and assume SF meant was that the backcourt is now crowded at UCONN with their portal activity, that’s a similar situation at Alabama although not quite as crowded currently.

Apparently most predicted Bama, but that was before Adams decommitted. Guess it makes sense considering the person above stated Trilly said Bama was the slight leader for Adam’s currently.

So I wonder if they are slow playing him to see what Adams does.

They’re also pursuing a Brazilian PG and Coward, along with Griffin…not sure of their order of preference currently, they also had a visitor from Tarleton State on campus yesterday they’re considering taking.

I think it became that way— didn’t begin that way. Poor access to/support from Hurley and their NIL folks. His NIL was never fully nailed down or clear. Market went up. They remained the aloof. He left.

Sounds like Hurley has caught a case of arrogance ever since winning back-to-back Natty's

Interesting. Almost reads like a coach and program that became complacent with b2b titles and the belief that they didn't have to necessarily outwork other teams off the floor, or at best, treat prospective players as priorities as if to say that coming to play for Dan Hurley and UCONN is a privilege. That level of arrogance checks out with Hurley.

I took your comment originally to be a slight at Hurley and perhaps the way he comports himself on the court, in the media, and perhaps around kids who aren't necessarily the absolute cream of the crop.
