2025 Transfer Portal Thread

Don't want to force Estrella to transfer but I want a starting PF out of the portal. I just feel like with all the injuries it's too risky to bank on Estrella next year as a starter but he could be a pleasent surprise off the bench
Granted we didn't get to see much, but I liked what I saw out of Estrella in that Purdue NCAA tournament game. He's definitely going to have a meaningful role if he is here next year and I believe he will be

Multiple top guards have landed deals north of $2 million in recent days, with one crossing the $3 million threshold, resetting the college basketball transfer portal market, sources tell @On3sports.

That's what Gillespie is dealing with. Tennessee is ahead, but NIL offers are crazy right now.

Sarcasm??

I’m not seeing it
In a bench role like similar to Gainey. Im serious idk why his PPG is only 7 but every time i watched them he was always doing good things. He can handle, shoot well, and get to the rim. Prob gonna be hard to find someone off the bench who’s better than him but maybe i’ll be wrong 🤷🏻‍♂️

Don’t know if Gillespie is an NBA level talent but if this is his peak earning year playing basketball, then he’s getting bad council to pass up significant $ to play at UT for less. How much has Bone, Turner, and Lofton made playing overseas - don’t think it’s high 6 figures each season. $3 million can be life changing if properly managed whereas $1 million not so much JMO

Yep, I heard that the Michigan commitment is a smokescreen to milk more NIL, he’s been meeting with Clemson for the last 3-4 days.

Kentucky mods are reporting he committed to Michigan, but they think Cats still hold a slight lead.

I’d never count out River Boat Brownell in these battles. A buddy told me they’re bringing in Horace Grant this weekend to sell him during his midweek visit.

my buddy is like the Nevin Shapiro for Clemson basketball. He works for Apple out in California but is a huge Clemson booster specifically for the basketball team. He has wild and crazy parties with the players, I bet he has Horace Grant on speed dial

I’ve seen Gillespie listed as a possible round 2 pick. He’s a great shooter and passer but needs to work on his defense. Long term his best decision would be Tennessee now to get the bag later. Plug and play in ZZ’s role close to home and be on an elite team that plays elite defense. He’d learn to play better defense under Barnes.. It just makes sense. Lanier saw that same situation and it worked for him. I’ve now seen Lanier as high as a top 20 pick. That’s how they have to think in the league. Work on your weaknesses incessantly. The Mamba Mentality.
