See how they work it out, but were going to have three players that need to play that will be out of the rotation, 11 is the max most games so if your roster is 15 four players are out with none to minimal minutes. If that turns out to be freshmen suspect they will be gone the next season. Having 15 players with the ability to play is going to lead to some unhappy players just no way to satisfy that many.
Where we really had minutes was in the post. If we were going three or more in the portal probably should've not signed so many freshmen cause four of them are expecting normal playing time and there is a possibility that will not happen if we go for perimeter players over post players.
Really interested as to who were going after as we already have at least 9 perimeter players to play something like 120 minutes. I guess we can go four guards and that changes it up a little.

I guess they have a plan interested in how the roster looks when the portal is over.

I think this is why she always lets the starters be determined by the previous days of practice. Keeps it open and competitive. So having 15 who are equal enough to compete weekly for starting status--while still assured of plenty of playing time, seems doable.

I think the staff would also, ideally, like to equip their roster with some specialty/anomaly players--players who can negate opponents with unusual size or abilities. For example, someone who can move those "weighty" girls who can take up space and dominate the paint without a lot of vertical athleticism.

We'll see what comes together. But for sure, it will be intentional and not just a "best athlete available" approach.

True, but how much did Spear cost you in every other aspect? I do agree within the premise of if you are going to shoot third most 3s, you want to be better there.

Definitely not a problem for one season as once they are all here it can be anyway you want it. The problem that might present itself is something like Norte Dame is facing half the team leaves after a season. I guess you face that problem when you get to it. Just no way to satisfy 15 players in any system and will not be just our problem, but most every team. The chances of building continuity in roster like Tennessee, UConn, Stanford, SC in past years to mutiple top teams is probably something that is coming to an end. I guess you keep trying to identify the type players that will bring you success in your system. Right now with the players we have on the roster it is obvious that we do not yet have enough rebounding abilty or three point shooting ability. To remedy that in the portal it just pushes someone on the current roster or freshmen coming in down the bench. That is where a problem could set in for a team. I will be interested in who we get to see if we remedy what seems to be our current needs more rebounding and three point shooting ability. Right now we seem to have to many of the same type player core group and freshmen coming in.

If we got a lot of players in mind that fit the system it is not a bad thing. You hear somebody signed and you start thinking your going to be riding the bench you might get in the portal.

So if true still Spearman, Latham, Cooper, Boyd, Whitehorn, Mia and Mya, Prawl, Civic, and Hurst, Wynn, Edie. Three maybe four openings as Edie still may not count next year some confusion about the 15 and players already here that have been walkons their entire career.

Miles to TCU keeps coming up, but she may not want to be a Texas girl we'll see. Nothing on Cotie both these players are high dollars players and so is Latson can only have one of them would seem. I'm set on Williams, Kneepkens, and Garzon as just as valuable and in many ways better for our team.

That’s what I keep hearing and I could’ve sworn I heard cotie was supposed to visit lsu but I don’t think it happened and Latson we gone have fight with South Carolina for her😂 but I don’t mind none of the players you named🤞🏾🤞🏾

Have to figure that Uconn players are just waiting for the season to end to get in the portal. They have a roster of 14 and are said to be in with three or four portal players so someone would have to leave if true.
