2025 Transfer Portal

I think there's been some confusion about whether E. Darby will count towards the 15-player limit next season. I keep seeing people saying that walk-ons will count towards the limit next year but haven't been able to confirm that anywhere. (Not to mention the confusion over whether or not Wells is truly out of eligibility!)
If the House settlement is approved as expected, there will no longer be a scholarship limit, only a roster limit. The roster limit will be 15. So if Darby is on the team, she will be a scholarship player. If they choose to use her spot to sign someone from the transfer portal, she will have to find another opportunity. I believe Tennessee will offer her the opportunity to be a student assistant or something similar because her degree program is very specific at UT and she is less than a year away from completing it.

Wells is out of eligibility unless she wins an appeal, because she played more than the allowable amount of games before her injury last season. Her time at Tennessee has concluded, regardless.

Doesn’t Wells have a COVID yr? Do you know if she’s appealing for more eligibility? I just feel so bad for that kid.

Thank you!

It looks like she has the Covid year and she only played in 9 games this season, you need to play less than 30% of the games for a medical redshirt and she qualifies for that.

That doesn't take into account Nil money elsewhere. Very few promise playing time it has to earned. The subject is if some agent can get you enough Nil money to move on. Not saying anyone is leaving there but who thought most of the Notre Dame team would leave?

From what I understand Miles decision to leave ND is not NIL related and you would expect ND with their vast resources to be able to match any other school's NIL package. There appears to be other team related issues in play at ND.

And there are individuals in the portal who have openly expressed a desire to join a team with championship prospects.

OTOH the fan supported Garnet Trust seems to be working for SC.

How do u think they will defend taller guards?
Just like they've defended Mikayla Blakes, Malaysia Fulwiley, and plenty of others...who were all taller than them.

Mya Pauldo has already shutdown ELITE players. Do your homework.

The question should be...how will the taller guards defend the TWINS?

The question was if an agent offered you a million are you staying or leaving Sure some would stay, but not everybody. I am sure no one gets in the portal because of Nil money and maybe some teams are immune if subjected to the opportunity. It all is determined by the time the portal closes.

The way she plays defense her height is actually an advantage. Super quick hands and feet, really a menace. I don’t think she’ll have any trouble defending.

Her games reminds me of Mo Jefferson and Ivory Latta. Ivory was so good with the ball and Pauldo is like that too. Has that thing on a string and you can’t take it from her. Love in the McDs game when they tried to trap her. Ended with a layup for her team which is exactly what should happen when you try to trap a good pg.

I think he has an agenda against players of their size unless their name is Hildago. He seems to think she has everything it takes, but Mia and Mya are somewhat defective as players. Anyone see the McDonald's game I saw some really good defense out of Mia Pauldo and offense was awesome. She left the number one player standing in her tracks with that spin move to the basket.

Yikes, you're in for a rude awakening
I'm glad you think that. Matter of fact, I use to think just like you until I did my homework.

Every time these TWINS pulled up against any competition...they always STOOD OUT versus anybody.

Mikayla Blakes is a star at Vandy and Tennessee had no answer for her this year... Malaysia Fulwiley is a star at South Carolina and Tennessee had no answer for her but guess who had them in a straight jacket when guarded man to man?

Mya Pauldo. But I'm in for a RUDE AWAKENING.

Mia Pauldo put the world on notice when she destroyed Aaliyah Chavez, Sienna Betts, Jazzy Davidson, and plenty of others...but I'm in for a RUDE AWAKENING.

You'll see.

The rude awakening will be people who think they can't play. I've seen enough basketball in my life to know it is completely the opposite.

And some even leave after the portal closes and have to sit out a year… 😉🤙🏼

Kinda funny folks are questioning how the Pauldo twins could possibly be good defenders because they're so small as if we didn't just have the snallest PG in the SEC for 4 years on the men's side win SEC DPOY 2 times and earn SEC All-Defense all 4 years.

It's almost as if size isn't everything when it comes to being a good defender.

If she does help as assist like you are saying or Edie is just a regular student at the university of Tennessee.
Tennessee could give her a scholarship to cover the difference from the in state Lottery scholarship and any scholarship she may have now.
Unstand Darby's and her family is paying her way now.
Just asking don't think it would break any rules for a university to scholarship to give non players especially if she was a regular student? Not sure on a student assist to the team?

I'm thinking she will stay a regular player. Still have three to give doubt we want more than that for portal players. It would have to be someone we really thought we needed to go for four.

DJ Pauldo coached him as well.

Zeigler on the men's team comes to mind. I believe he was the SEC defensive player of the year once. Its all about effort and determination.
