I just hope we can actually land a productive athletic big to pair with / or give Zee a breather... I would love to see us get Serah Williams, I also really like Caitlin Weimar from NC state via Boston U. she would be a great fit as well... I don't expect we get much info leaking out, until our tournament run ends. I would be interested to hear who we actually reach out to..

Kids are learning how to use the portal as a negotiating tool. Can't blame them.

But I'm reminded of an old "Seinfeld" episode in which Jerry, a Mets fan, was bemoaning that because of trades and free agentry he didn't know the players on his favorite team any more except by the uniforms they were wearing. In his words: "We're all just rooting for laundry now."

I'm afraid that college basketball is heading in that direction.

Kids are learning how to use the portal as a negotiating tool. Can't blame them.

Does anybody else think Yakiya Milton out of Auburn could be a big pick up? She has the Looks of a post player like Zee… Might need a little more muscle, but I think she could prove to be a great defender.

The NIL is just a wonderful tool for players to hold teams hostage over. Aah, good times...

She has a do not contact statement so it appears she already knows where she is going.

Tennessee recruited her hard with previous Coaching staff . Maybe she is going to Missouri ....or maybe to Lady Vols

We don't know that's what happened. Reports are now Pierre was never going to transfer, hadn't even spoken to the staff yet and the original report was from a souce known to be unreliable.

Of course players can use NIL to increase their salaries. Just like coaches use job offers to increase theirs and the rest of us use any damn thing we can get our hands on to up our pay. If one of our players was rumored to be transferring then didn't woulld we automatically call them hostage takers?

Didn't say Pierre did that but it's already been done numerous times by other schools. Don't have to go far just check out our own football team. ...it happens all the time.

On3's Talia Goodman noted on Monday that Tennessee is a team to keep an eye on in the battle for Williams. Paywall so can't read entire things, but were in.

Baylor, Maryland, LSU, and UConn are also in the mix for Williams.

Looks like we have to hold off four teams to get Williams. Also reported that Cunningham is being pursued by UConn and LSU along with South Carolina.

Like every year all these coaches want these bigs that can play cause you get them your chances to win big go way up. Something we have to do more of at Tennessee. Pat's teams were always filled with bigs that could play. We need to get back to that cause they make your defense and your perimeter players better.

Mulkey, Auriemma, and Staley will try to suck up all these bigs in the portal what makes them winning coaches. What make any team a big winner. Look at Texas without those three bigs they would be middle of SEC at best. We need to get Williams and one more big that can play then watch us rise to the top next season.

I wonder where she'll end up? This is probably going to be THE one to watch until she lands elsewhere after all the attention she drew lady weekend. Folks are going to be like me, curious as to which coach is willing to go down that path given she has a little bit of a history of emotional outbursts.

I think she's a really good and passionate player who could instantly help most teams with her skills. But the other part is risky. I hope she lands well and learns to control her emotions better. She's young and deserves a chance to grow.
