#21 Tennessee @ #15 Auburn Game 3 Thread - 2PM, SECN+

We clean up some in the field and we could have taken all 3 this weekend. I’m still all in with these guys. Not having Luc is really hurting us but we have to fix this infield ASAP!

there was a fine line between 3-0 and 0-3.....looking forward to 0-3 South Carolina.

I watched all three games and here is what I saw: Our pitching was good enough to win Friday and Sunday's games. Saturday was not a good day for our pitchers. Our bats and fielding were not very good in any of the games. This is still a pretty young team and they can learn a lot from this series if they will. I really hate we start the SEC season by getting swept but I think we all knew that this was when baseball would get real. It did.

Now, can we, will we dust ourselves off and get ready for the next weekend? I think we'll do better.

Tough series but always that way on the road in the SEC. We need to come back strong in this home series at least 2 of 3 hopefully we can get it done this weekend.

I think SC is as close to a must win series this early in the schedule as you're going to get. The team needs to get over the funk. A sweep by SC and this season probably gets ugly quickly.

Lingo walked a few too many but I don’t think it was a bad performance by the pitchers. If Derkay catches the pop up in foul territory it is out 3, with no damage. If the play at 2nd is not mysteriously reversed we still get out down one. Guys have to make these routine plays in the field.

the hitting will get better...

Pitching and Defense will be the Strength...Biggest things that concerned me was Holding runners on , got to do a better job and getting beat yesterday on a 1-2 count on an off speed pitch...Paint the Outside black at about 93....make these hitters hit your best stuff!! The margin of getting Guys out on a 93 MPH fastball on the Black is just to Big , i watched 3 games and there's not that much difference in these line up's.........

Friday night - Missed timely hitting...give Tanner Burns & Closer lots of Credit.... Made some BIG time pitches. Balled bounced their way 3 times too...
Sat. Night - Take the Calls and the mis played ball at first away , and we missed a 2 run homer by a couple feet. this is anybodys Game.
Sunday - hands down should have won.....We over coached and second guessed ourselves here...Hold runners better, sac bunt in certain spots , and throw our best pitches in a pitchers count we win this game in My Opinion... Auburn is 11-0 at home.....

I think everyone involved grew up a lot this weekend.....A little Humbling might have brought us back to reality! that's not always a bad thing.

I would challenge ALL UT FANS - Go to an AWAY SEC Series and Experience some of the Adversity these kids face....It's Absolutely Pathetic what some grown Men will say to these kids!!! So before everyone Beats up on our guys to much , give them some Support!! ...Guys i Really think we have a Really Solid Baseball Team..!!! Don't Jump ship just yet!!!

This team wasn't far off from being 3-0 against a very good Auburn team....We don't need to panic just yet... Omaha might be a stretch but we are still in March.....Let's stay focused....One good note - 3 other SEC east teams got swept too and we play 2 of the 3 at home. SEC is tough task on the road.....

Agree but that call at second should have been reversed!
