Remembered John Rollins being mentioned in that Sport magazine expose The Trouble In Tennessee for this particular incident. IIRC he was cleared. Former TE that they converted to FB. His son starts at QB for South Doyle...multi-sport kid.

He was indicted before he was cleared tho. 5 counts. Didn’t read your link, but another account from the victim’s older sister stated that Underwood brandished the knife earlier and was disarmed. He got the knife back and returned to the bar spewing threats. The victim was asked to guard one of the Frat’s entry points and he armed himself with an aluminum baseball bat. Underwood stabbed him multiple times, maybe 25. Underwood received a 15 year sentence for second degree murder and was paroled in 7.
