Tennessee is 11th in SEC now, with a 3-6 record in SEC play. Same ole TN baseball team, hope they can turn it around!

The results thus far are the results that we have to go on, until they prove they can even win 50% of their SEC games, then they are ranked 11th in the SEC atm and a hill to climb to even be in the top half. Can they do it, they could, will they.....remains to be seen......not sure which part of my dumb comment was dumb, just presented facts...no innuendos....no fake news.......

11th in the SEC this year gets you a NCAA tournament birth so if that’s same ole same ole you’re right your comment isn’t dumb

The "same old Tennessee baseball team" would be about 1-8 right now. I took your comment as extremely negative though I feel like we've shown great progress so far this year.

Same Ole Tennessee team comment refers to how Tennessee has started SEC play the past few years because it mirrors their records.......Not trying to be negative, just being factual.....however, this team can turn it around, but their start in conference is not good.....

2019

NO SEC Tournament

They have an RPI of 6. I repeat an RPI of 6. They have played the toughest SEC schedule to date with playing the 2 best teams on the road. So you’re going to ignore the other 20 or so games they have played? This isn’t anywhere close to the “same ole Tennessee baseball team”

Both home series. You would hope to go 4-2. 5-1 would put us right back on track.

Yes it would. We all "hope". Is it realistic to expect to win both home series against 2 of the best teams in the country?

I don't know. That's why we play the games. I'm a Vol homer, not a handicapper.

hopeful for 7-8 at the middle of the SEC schedule....6-9 wouldn't be the end of the world...i honestly think the back half gives us a better chance to win more series...Any SEC series win is great.... These players need our support....Need the ball to bounce our way a few times....haven't caught many breaks thus far....obviously we could help our selves in the NEXT 2 weeks....Fingers Crossed for Good Pitching , Defense and timely hitting!!!....Say we go 6-9 in first half and 9-6 the last half.....that would be 15-15 in SEC play.....I will take it TBH....What a Grind....If this team wins 14 or 15 games in SEC play please don't say they aren't competitive....They have competed in every game thus far , had one 5 run inning at Vandy, outside of that Very Competitive...I am still saying we finish with 14 or 15 SEC Wins...with a 39-17 or 38-18 overall record....either would be an AWESOME YEAR....GO VOLS......Here's my breakdown of how we get there.....
21-8 record to date:
6-0 Non Conference games
1-2 MS STATE
2-1 Georgia
2-1 Ky
1-2 ARK
2-1 MZ
2-1 florida
2-1 Ol MS
39-17 overall.....Go Vols!!! Obvious this will be a tough task....But i think it's reachable...Time will tell....Go VOLS!!!

3-3 MSU/Georgia would be solid as would 3-3 UF/Ole Miss. Winning a road series at Florida late in the season might be too much to ask.

D1 baseball released their first mock field of 64 yesterday. The Vols were a two seed in the Raleigh regional.

Their RPI is what stands out at 7. If we can muster enough SEC wins our RPI is going to be no issue. I think 13 wins may be enough for the committee with our RPI.

13 might be enough depending on the bubble. 14 is the magic number.

For sure. They have a lot of quadrant 1 wins too. Definitely in very good shape.

i agree 13 would be enough..with 38 or 39 wins i say we get in. Anyway Beat State this weekend and Get this thing rolling the other way. Go Vols. This team has a bright future in my opinion
