24 Free Throw Attempts….

The officials sucked, but they sucked all around. The touch fouls 30' from the basket but hardly anything called in the paint just makes it so hard to determine what is/isn't a foul. So inconsistent. That aside, when you miss 8 or 9 layups, shoot 3-21 from 3, get outrebounded by 20 on your home floor, and give up 13 ORebs, you dont deserve to win.
Correct and your team on offense never breaks for the goal for an open pass. Probably miss the lay up though.

I cannot stand ky fans in basketball as much or more than alabama football fans.. their arrogance is unmatched.. if they lost every game they played from now until Jesus comes back it wouldn't be enough.

You’re right.

The opposing team shooting 24 FT attempts to our 10 FTs had no impact on the game. None whatsoever.

You know how stupid that sounds?
Sounds to me like Tennessee fouled a lot and Kentucky didn't. We still missed a lot of layups to go along with getting outrebounded

@VolFreakJosh you don’t seem to get it. Terrible officiating giving so many points at the free throw line for one team cannot affect the outcome of the game. Only missed layups can. Duh.

They fronted us well on defense at the 3 point line, hit their free throws at 90%. We looked flat and slow on offense today and missing point blank layups hurt. I knew UK was going to be up for this one, their backs were against the wall. Maybe this gave Plavsic some confidence moving forward? We need a goto guy inside to break those scoring droughts.

Shooting 14% from 3 and getting out rebounded by 20 usually results in a loss. Thought the whistles favored our style of play especially when they didn't call Uros for pancaking the sheib. We simply got out played at home. Happens in a rivalry. We'll probably return the favor later on.

He never gives credit to opposing team. It's always the refs or umps bias against UT
Probably three areas that had UT performed like a top 5 team they win the game.
-Layups is obvious.
-Rebounding, out rebounded by 20. That’s embarrassing.
-Three point shooting. 3 for 21? That sucks monkey nuts.

UT doesn’t even have to win two of three. Just play up to snuff in one of those three and you win.

How this team lacked focus given the environment is a head scratcher. I’ve been a be patient guy when it comes to Phillips, but he flat stunk today. For a it who got a major 6 figure NIL deal, he’s been a disappointment. Olivier also disappeared. It’s an absolute shame Awaka didn’t play in the 2nd half. He would have provided more than Olivier or Phillips. Barnes has the bench to send a message and didn’t do it.

The officiating was bad, but not bad enough that it couldn’t be overcome.

People talking about this being a 1 seed team need to pump the brakes. If not for Uros this would have been a blowout. Odd, that this was the best game of his career.
