I refuse to do it unless I am in Europe or sometimes when i am corresponding with Europeans. I usually write out the month as well do they don't accidentally correct the date assuming I wrote it our way.

I've seen it done on military documents and during conversations. I usually do when conversing in that environment.

I think you're right. Along the same lines as the rest of the world is metric.

Being on the metric system makes sense, but it feels a lot cooler to say "I bench 250 lbs" (but not that cool) than to say "I bench 113.4 kg".

I got knocked down a letter grade in my CAD class last year for only doing projects in metric. :lol:

And baker, I just say 'plates'. "I bench 2 plates" = 225lbs so on
