ESPN has UF with 16 top 300 players. And us with having 7. Nobody else has the Gators having such a big difference in class from us. Preliminarily, I'd say ESPN has something going on.Has anyone ever compared the rating systems to see which is more accurate? We are 10th 247 but espn has us out of the top 10 just seems the evaluations are much different.
Some emphasize the "blue chip ratio" of recruiting classes which is the number of four and five star players combined divided by the total number signed. Using that metric, of the top 20 of the 247 composite ratings we're currently number 16 with only Michigan, TCU, FSU and Auburn lower than us. Of course all figures depend on star ratings which are subjective to begin with.ESPN has UF with 16 top 300 players. And us with having 7. But at the top, which really matters, there is consensus. Alabama and Georgia, whom we either need to be better than, or beat every year, are are stationed @ 1 and 2. On everything major site.
Agreed. How can any intelligent human being place trust in a company that pays Steven A. Smith $12 million per year to simply fan the flames of discord? The "Worldwide Leader in Sports" has made pushing wokeness the primary objective of the media platform. SportsEspn does no serious evaluations, it’s all political posturing and favorites with them. The big 3 that the vast majority go by are 247, Rivals and On3. Anyone that takes espn rankings serious would just as well do their own rankings. Espn just puts their name in front and looks at the other 3 ranking systems and then the cherry pick who they like and who they don’t and call it a ranking system. It’s rank alright it stinks and is full of crap! GBO
