247Sports: Best incoming freshman classes by position

People are absolutely stuck on this crazy narrative that Dormady is a statue. I've never heard a mistake repeated so often about a player, and had it been so thoroughly refuted each time.

Guarantano is listed as a pro style QB by 247. I guess we should get rid of him. And wasn't Dobbs pro style? I bet he can't run our offense, then.

Because some people will never get past:

Black QB = running QB
White QB = Passing QB

Spot on. Dormady runs 4.7 and is quick based on his excellent shuttle time....the color of his skin does not change those facts.

JG has a very strong arm and is more than capable of making accurate throws into tight windows....the color of his does not change those facts.

Both of these kids are very capable of being good "dual threat" QBs at Tennessee. Throw Sheriron in there as well.

After watching the replay of the OW game, it is clear that Dormady is very well schooled and has a rocket for an arm. I hope he gets a lot of mop up duty this year because when he is a junior he will rule the roost. Book it.

Guarantano may have something to say about that. I really like what I've seen and read about Dormady, but I'm telling you now, Guarantano will compete for that starting job after Dobbs graduates. He has just as strong an arm, can already make all the throws expected at the collegiate level, and is more athletic than Dormady. Love what both these guys will bring to the program, and I expect a fierce competition for that starting job that will be up for grabs in 2017. Regardless, throw Jones into the mix when he gets here in the fall, and we are set at QB for the next few years.

The only negative I can see in our QB trio is that one of them may eventually transfer due to lack of playing time.

Unless Jennings makes some huge improvements, it's likely he gets moved to another position. I think QD and Jones are going to be much better. Factor in JG and JJ doesn't have much of a shot at QB.

From what I saw from Dormady. His rhythm is very good. I don't want to see him keep it on the read.
But he has to every now and then.

He's actually so talented as a passer, that I would tailor the offense to suit his skills. I think part of the reason our WR's aren't putting up better numbers is because the throw game can never get in rhythm.

Dormady is a pro-style QB. So is Jones. But they both have quickness and decent lateral movement. In my opinion this the best combination to have in a QB .

Jennings and Guarantano are true Duel Threat's. More so Jarret and this point. But those guys are great athletes on top of being QB's. Guarantano has the chance to be the best of both worlds though.

Jones and Dormady and Dobbs are QB's that have good athleticism.

Dormady looked fairly mobile. He had a couple good throws on roll outs. He looks like he can move when he needs to. I had forgotten about Guarantano.

We are finally going to have some talent and depth at QB...just like every other position. Damn! I honestly don't believe there is a better recruiter in America than butch Jones.
