Even with some slack, thats pretty terrible blocking

I bet he turns into the best pass blocking rb we have by the time the season starts. Typically, being the absolute worst at something in front of your peers makes you try much harder and focus until you overcome it beyond anyone's expectations. Mark my words, at the very least, Hill will be a good pass blocking rb this fall. Maybe not great at other aspects, but he will block his azz off.

Wow, these practices are super intense compared to last year. Check out this youtube video of practice last April.

Vols' spring practice - April 4, 2012 - YouTube

Loafing and taking their time, Dooley arrogantly smacking on gum and check out Bray yawning at the 2:50 mark. None of that is happening now. #RisetotheTop baby! Thataboy Butch!

I posted the exact same thing this past weekend in the scrimmage video thread. The difference in approaches is unbelievable.

I hope so. He's the big back we've been missing inside the 5 IMO

I don't think anyone will argue that AJ is poor in open space. 4-3 MLB all the way.

That might keep him Knoxville for his senior season...another year being conditioned by Lawson would help his range IMO

I wish they'd make the kickers always practice outdoors. That transition from closed to open environment can mess with their heads. I used to punt in high school, and the weirdest things can mess with your motion. The transition from practice field (less maintained turf) to game field (short grass, more-even turf) and also the transition from practice balls (old and water-logged...like kicking a rock) to game balls (new and light) messed with me. Kickers are particular...they're fragile and must be treated like a delicate flower

This deserves a response, but I don't think I'm up for it.

I'll just post this instead...

There's no flowers in football!

Kicker is the most underrated position in football besides center. I totally agree with this.
