Nothin' wrong with small ball in you can make it work. If you depend on small ball alone you won't get too many wins...but used here and there...it's a great strategy.

yep, we saw it trying to be employed way too often with Coach Serrano...bless his heart...:D

Not a huge fan of it myself but I agree, when used at the right times it'll do here and there. I think the 30 degree weather is a good time to bring it out.

Small ball cannot be your bread and butter...but, imo, you've got to be able to execute when the situation demands it. I've coached a number of wins using double steals and squeeze bunts. I described my coaching style as "hyper-aggressive," and I was consistently coloring outside the lines.

we saw a lot of bunting, for sure, didn't we...that was a hard time but we kept pulling for the Vols to win anyway...sometimes we did...:D:D

I wonder how many dingers Christin Stewart would have hit with this coaching staff.

Seriously, is anyone else getting the constant stats refreshed pop up? I would throw my phone if it didn’t cost a $1000 freaking dollars.

Troy appears to be a pretty decent ball club. This game is good for us...playing a competitive team always a plus...after all..iron sharpens iron!

he'd been a terror...that first two years of Coach Serrano's tenure was not use the bunt as a strategic move...it was our strategy...period...then he started letting the boys swing away and it led to the 12 game streak before we ran into the SEC grind...made it to Hoover though...for one game...:D
