LSU can play against anyone in the country and beat them. Providing Oklahoma State can beat Oklahoma then the Cowboys will play the Tigers for the National Championship. I know LSU will beat Georgia-sorry Dawg fans! LSU has a better defense than the Cowboys and will win their 2nd Championship in the past 5 years and the SEC rules for the 6th year in a row! SEC! SEC! SEC!

The guy rarely *****es out players or officials, doesn't come off arrogant and is respectful to opposing coaches and players. I'm not seeing where he's a jerk.

I used to joke that he was stupid/clueless/lucky or what have you, but the guy flat out wins and his players love and respect him. He's winning at a higher level than Saban did at a time when the SEC is even tougher than it was then. And I'd argue that he's not recruiting at a more elite level than Saban was.

The guy is a class act all the way in my book, and that feeling was validated by the article ESPN ran on him Bama week and even more so after watching him take 4 knees vs Ole Miss last week.

I lost some respect for coach Petrino. Miles is a stand up guy, he doesn't deserve that.

Mathieu turned the game around. 8 top #20 teams down, 2 more to go. Heck, LSU might end up doing a round robbin on the top 20.

Still, the sitting idle for two straight weeks though, while everyone sat there debating and discussing whether the national championship should be a rematch of the last game of the season, that loosened it up and eventually caused them to fall when the opportunities (UF winning its conference championship) arose.


Don't forget, USC had jumped them to number 2 after their first idle week(...just that they then lost to UCLA)

Their not playing through 2/3 sets of rankings hurt them more than UF's extra game (...it also partially showed how - given more and
more time to think on it - the voters were starting to feel that those two teams shouldn't play each other again...no rematches/they already had their chance/whatever one might choose to call it)
