Arkansas is essentially a little better Vanderbilt. Arkansas has an opportunity to finish 7-5 (4-4) whereas Vanderbilt is likely to finish 6-6 (3-5). If you look at it that way then Alabama made Vanderbilt bowl eligible. That should be a worse loss in everyone’s eyes.
