Serving an arrest warrant. Similar thing happened twice last month here in Florida, claiming additional lives.

Obviously,we need the public to have continued access to guns.

I am sure that they bought the guns from a gun store legally and they were properly registered. Just stop LG

Clearly the guns were the culprit. Bad guys like that who would shoot a lawman over being served would follow the rules and get they registrations all squared away. They'd have to, because a black market wouldn't, couldn't and shouldn't exist in America. We've proven repeatedly that prohibition is the answer.

since you didn't bother to provide a link to a story, LG, do you have some knowledge that the firearms used were legally obtained and used by the registered owner?

You are so overmatched in this debate that you don't even realize you were beaten long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away.

Or something like that.

So you're saying criminals shot law enforcement officers, and only criminalizing the criminals will stop it from happening again?

Sounds idiotic.

well with all the details in the OP I guess we're just supposed to assume things.

even the endzone would throw this thread away for lack of info

here we go with this crap again. LG once again is willing for criminals to obtain guns illegally and leave responsible citizens defending themselves with a butter knife and frying pan

I wonder what the percentage of guns owned illegally by criminals were once legally obtained and registered by someone else...

so your solution to this issue is to take guns away from law-abiding citizens (who obtained their firearms legally) so that the criminals can't steal them?

maybe we should remove all money from banks so criminals aren't tempted to rob them either.

And yet he got one.

Wow, that's totally unusual.

Oh wait ...

so? can you name any type of law currently on the books in the US that would stop a criminal from obtaining an illegal firearm?

Since a gun-free society is part of your personal utopia, what would you do to achieve that goal? Would you go the way of Britain and Australia, both of which essentially criminalized legal gun owners?
