That is the most in the history of our football program.

Really proud of our team and our coaches. This is a huge accomplishment. Go Vols!

...somebody's always got to be one!

That was funny!

I'm not knocking academics but any time Jimmy Cheek and Susan Martin are brought up with their agenda of improving the academics of UT the argument from many on here is that 100K people don't show up for Science class.

Now that 34 Vols made the honor roll, we now have this "academics will take you further in life" attitude.

Ummmmm, no.

I'm NEVER going to knock a coach or a program for academic achievement! I hear what you're saying but I think it's OK for all of us to pause for a moment and appreciate the fact that CBJ is cracking the whip in the classroom as much as he is on the field. Hell it's not like we've had much else to cheer about lately! :)

I totally agree with your post and your last sentence is very telling. If UT were winning on the field this wouldn't even been mentioned. :good!:

Saw this the other day, didn't see Dobbs name on the list and figured he would be with all the talk and everything. Hard major, maybe freshman don't make the list/have to have a full year.

LSU football players are about as smart as Les Miles.

So, wait. We have more on the academic honor roll than Vandy? But Vandy players are smarter than our boys.

To clarify, this is the SEC honor roll. This includes the entire academic year at a 3.0 and not just one term. That makes it a little more impressive.

I imagine he needs a full year and not just one semester to qualify.
