It's been 5 years since our historic season and Sweet Sixteen run with Williams, Schofield, Bone, Turner, and Bowden.

Some of you may remember I did a tracker for our AP Poll ranking that year. We spent 4 weeks at #1, and the entire season in the top 10.

I'm down wit dat, yo.

I think this team has a chance to be very special. Hopefully Dillione will be okay and can keep getting better. My only concern is how much small ball we tend to run, which can hurt us if we aren't careful and can't rebound better. But time will tell.

Yeah but I think b2b wins over top 5 teams would get a ton of attention, especially if numbers 2 and 1 are who we take down. Let’s just win, the rest will get sorted.

There is no telling how the media would vote, but we would have better wins. We would have beaten Wisconsin, Syracuse, Purdue, and Kansas/Marquette.

They have beaten Indiana and Texas. Both of those teams have struggled against inferior opponents.

I’m sure there will be games we will lose when the 3 isn’t falling. It’s a matter of time. We will still have a good season. I’m ready to say that Knecht is what this team has been missing offensively.

Updated Analytical Rankings and Chart.

Big improvements last week. Reversion to the mean, IMO.

Humans are more emotional; we'll likely be 12-13 there.

Kenpom has us at 9, www.parsedsports.com has us at 7 (with SOS at 9). They have a live bracket predictor that has us in the Elite 8, losing to Houston.

Houston has played a joke schedule so far. 10-0 but 8 of the games are against nobodies. Best team they have played has been Utah. Will be interesting to see how they do in Big 12 play this year.

It seems we are working on learning how to play together. This team has big potential and I am excited to watch it unfold. Recently we have started well and fade when it matters most, in the NCAA tournament. Maybe this year will go the other way around.
