Nothing we didn't know already, but something stinks at Georgia and QBs.

There was this notion that J.T. Daniels supposedly beat out Jamie Newman, and that's why Newman left. Daniels was never, and still hasn't, been medically cleared. How did he beat Newman out then? Is Daniels re-injured? Something is really amiss there. I felt bad for Mathis - looked totally unprepared because I'm sure he was.

Being cleared for non contact practice and being cleared for games are two different things. Having said that, I don’t believe he beat Newman out. I think it’s more likely it was closer than Newman expected and he thought he could lose the job if he happened to contract covid and couldn’t start for a game.
 
Imagine being an elite offensive player signing with Georgia because you think you’re playing with Justin Fields, only to end up playing with Stetson Bennett IV.
