4* Lb Jordan Burns committed

Georgia has some talent each year but let's not go overboard. Florida is on another level every year with Texas and Cali and now will even be more with all the transplants moving here to Florida by the thousands every week.

Bro.........Orlando has gotten so bad. I actually just bought a house and moved to Winter Haven just to try and find some relief. Florida is busting at the seams!!!! And I pack a cooler and those diapers astronauts use if I ever have to travel I-4 anywhere.

Can't be any worse than Fuquay-Varina (pimple on Raleigh's ass), NC. Good for home values, but, kiss country life goodbye. Sure would like to move back to Tennessee!

I’m glad he committed, however I am confused as to how he’s a 4 star:

Burns is ranked the No. 389 overall prospect and No. 34 linebacker in the 2024 class and the No. 47 rising senior from the state of Georgia, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

So, are you questioning the wisdom of Coach Hype and his staff?? Hmmm???? They must know something outside the numbers you mentioned. I trust them

No, I trust them completely. I was questioning how the #389th ranked player has 4 stars

You ain't lying. It's horrible all the people moving here. Right now about 1000 families are moving to Florida per day the news reported. I drove down the back roads to Ft Myers for work couple of weeks ago instead of I-4 / 75. I was shocked how much Winter Haven has grown now and booming. I guess everybody is moving there now. Heck, I'm ready to go to the country down to Arcadia, Lake Alfred, Auburndale or Haines City or anywhere. Kissimmee has turned into San Juan and Orlando you can't move! lol

I always tell people to go watch Youth Travel Football if you want to see tomorrow's super stars. So I gotta disagree with u on this one because I've actually had the chance to see a ton of these kids up close. From ages 5 all the way up to high school. I coached travel ball so I've literally seen teams from all over the country. Fla does have top notch talent but so does GA. Not saying GA talent is better or Fla doesn't have people moving in. I'm saying the gap ain't what you're saying it is. Maybe 15 years ago it was but not now. GA got just as many high schools in the Max top 25 as Fla does.

Miami Central, Miami Northwestern, St. Thomas, American Heritage, Miami Columbus, Miami Norland has about 40 former or current NFL players alone just those 6 schools in South Florida. Not even counting Tampa, Orlando, Lakeland and Jax HS. Lakeland/Kathleen and Seffner Armwood both is small cities but put out a ton of D-1 every year.

Georgia does put out a bunch of talent but not on Florida level yet. And to date Sony Michel and Dalvin Cook are two best I ever saw in HS.

At first glance I thought the thread was titled that we had recruited a 4 pound player. Got to get that kid eating better 😂

I didn't argue with history at all. I'm talking about the current landscape of football. We get to see South GA schools play North Fla schools around here. Ware County, Lee County, Valdosta, Colquitt County, & Thomasville more than hold their own. GA has about the same amount of teams currently ranked in the Max Prep Top 25. They also got small cities that are dominant just like Fla. My son currently attends the same high school Marquez Callaway went to in Warner Robins. It's a very small city but it's a football factory. They are going for their 6th straight 5A Championship appearance this year and it's probably another 10-15 D1 prospects on the roster now. Just from my experience of actually going there and competing with kids from GA there is not a big gap like you're saying. The last team I coached graduates in 2025. My top 3 players were Antwan Hill, ReSean Dinkins, & Isiah Gibson. AJ is currently breaking Jake Fromms's passing records at HOCO, Dinkins & Gibson are at Warner Robins dominating. All 3 are top 25 GA prospects for 2025. There are another 10 guys or so from that team who will play D1 somewhere. Why do u think the Dawgs are so dominant?? They load up on the best GA kids then recruit specific guys from around the country.

Just to prove a point of the current high school landscape I did research to go along with what I saw with my own eyes. The State of Fla has 7 players ranked in the top 50 for class of 2024. State of GA has 9. Fla has 9 ranked in the top 50 for 2025. GA has 8. This means not only is GA on par with Florida putting out top talent right now, GA is actually a little better. GA has a chance to put out the #1 overall player in 2024 & 2025

Sounds like you're both splitting hairs here about HS talent level in GA and FL.

You're both correct.

Let's just get more of that talent here in TN!
I agree. We need Great players no matter where they come from. But it sure would give me the Mr. Burns evil grin if we stole a couple of UGA's most prized possessions.
