Please enlighten us on All of the FIRSTS that have taken place since Holly became head coach.

First off, what's your beef with cooper?? You piss and moan and bring her up in almost all your posts.. She's a freshman and she's going to make mistakes. As far as her being in contention for freshman of the year, there's no big leap there as she came in being the number one ranked point guard. Get over your infatuation with cooper, it's not healthy..

There's been a lot of bad firsts with holly as head coach. You can do the research on that..ever heard of google..try it

I don't have an issue with Cooper, except that she can't shoot, and turns the ball over, and still believes she playing in high school. I Love Cooper, she is a rookie and has a lot to learn.

I do, though, enjoy bringing up the fact that several COACHES on this board (were you one of them?) that proclaimed that Cooper was going to be SEC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR, after playing only two or three college basketball games against less than stellar competition. Some of the same COACHES who KNOW that Holly is a horrible coach, and make Exaggerated claims against her.

That's cute...belittle an 18 year old freshman, but put holly up on some kind of golden pedestal when it's her and the coaching staff's responsibility to coach these players up.

I'm no coach, far from it and I started the thread that about cooper and her chances at freshman of the year. I never annoited her or anyone else that title, I just simply started a discussion on it. that's what these lady vol forums are for right?? Discussing topics that are relative to lady vol basketball. I'm still not sure why you were so butt hurt over it

I think gule got ya started with a nice list..I find it comical that you will eagerly chastise a freshman, but won't say a word about holly's less than stellar coaching this season. Why is that?? holly's a grown ass woman, she can take the heat. Actually I don't want to see her fired, I want to see her turn things around, but I understand those who want to see her gone..

Holly ain't shooting a basketball anymore. Holly can't shoot for those grown, athletic women. No matter what scheme is being run on offense, when you take a shot you should be able to make it good sometimes. Holly can't shoot simple basic layups for any of the players. You don't learn how to shoot layups in college.

I am not necessarily a fan of Holly. I don't yet know if she is a good evaluator of high school talent. Time will tell if she is a good coach. As it stands now, her teams have been to the Elite Eight twice in three years, and she has three SEC Titles.

Blaming every deficiency in the basketball team on Holly is ridiculous. Every one of those players has to take responsibility as well.

From what I'm reading the game was rather ugly.... Something just isn't clicking but I hope the issues are resolved and they can finally play good basketball... But I still love my Lady Vols

The issue with Cooper is leadership and playing well. PG is a big position, and she should have been made to earn the spot, not be given it--and she hasn't played well. Plus, you risk alienating Reynolds and the others. I don't know that that has happened, but it's possible. If Cooper and the team were playing well, it would be different--but she hasn't and the team hasn't.

I agree with you to an extent regarding the players taking responsibility. Though it is difficult to believe that all of these highly rated players have forgotten how to shoot the ball simultaneously.
What bothers me, among other things, is the apparent lack of intensity this team displayed against VT. We haven't been good on the offensive side of the court in years but we were always competitive. I didn't see that competitiveness last game. We haven't changed coaches, so why the difference in intensity ?
Something else is going on.
