Seems to be a lot of experts out there. I do not think S.C. is better than Fl.

Some of you may get surprised at Fla. record by the end of the year. I saw a strong
DL last night and good teams get better as the season goes on.

Is Heuple the answer? I don't know, but his record indicates that he gets worse from
season to season. Hope he changes that trend.

Why do people keep saying this? Y'all do realize he already dispelled that by improving drastically in his second year, right?

We should, SC is the best team of the next 3 and they are still average. If we lose any of the next 3 I'd say this team is far worse than we thought.
I don't believe it's the team players as much as it's the change in play calling. When we were in a fast tempo mode the team moved the ball. Then we started slowing up and taking time. Also, it seemed at the end of the first half, our play caller (whoever that is) gave up. Three runs and a punt. Are you serious. There was no effort to even try to score. So yes, our team is far worse that we thought and it starts with our coaches and their play calling.

If they can play like they did in the second half from start to finish this is possible. Especially if they get mays back next week and pili soon after. Joe was dropping dimes in the second half even with defenders in his face and the defense played man more and stopped the run. Really don’t know why Banks experiments with running zone that much when we’ve always been bad at it. I get changing it up every now and then to give different looks but should never be the focal point with our team until we get the horses in the secondary we need.

UF will be 7-5 at best. To those who say that history doesn't matter to the current players, I say it does. Every UF team feels they can beat UT no matter what. They know they will get all the calls and all the breaks. They really only needed to look at last year where had they had one more play, they probably would have won in spite of being dominated all game.

Im not going to comment our record of what I think for the rest of the year. Basically, this all comes down to Milton , the O-line, WRs, the DBs , getting #6 help at Linebacker, he can’t do it all, and coach Heup. I don’t care about the Ref talk, it’s not like we haven’t seen it before , and us bitching about them doesn’t fix it. Get all of that above fixed and we are fine. If not , it’s going to be a long season, and an even longer off-season. Right now, I’m rooting for Colorado St.
Good to know only the whole team needs fixed 😭

SC has an exponentially better QB than FL.

A&M is always stacked with athletes.

5-1 could happen but 3-3 could just as easily too.

That defensive effort in the first half could lose any SEC game for the Vols.

Lololol.

Please no sunshine pumping. Be realistic.

UTSA—likely, but not guaranteed, win
SC—loss
ATm—tossup, but I am going loss right now

This team has no heart, defense looks like it regressed to Huepel’s first year (what was UF’s 3rd down conversion rate…80% or so??? And the OL is worse than I thought, and I went into the year with the OL being my primary concern.

Team has so many gaps….I mean APSU was just a warning sign, and UF was the 5-alarm fire.

I said it in another thread…Huepel caught lightening in a bottle with Hooker. We are not doing that again.

He played last night..... struggled to get lined up properly and didn't cover the backs out of the backfield. He'll be a good player but he's not ready. We really miss Keenan Pili
I was implying he needs to take that next step. At least he is getting some playing time. For sure need Pili.

Maybe, maybe not. I wasn't particularly impressed by anything UF was doing, and Billy Boy went "Play not to lose" in the second half. I know their QB slashed his hand but even my UF friend texted me early in the second half that it looked like Napier was trying to run the clock out in the 3rd quarter. I'd say 7-5 is probably about right, that team last night isn't beating Georgia, LSU, or Florida St., and I doubt they beat both Kentucky and South Carolina. I don't think 7-5 would be something that surprises many and probably won't help BN with the Florida faithful.

SC played Ga tough. Beamers pass happy offense will rape our inept secondary. I want us to curb stomp SC to the ground for what they did last year but after watching them yesterday as well as us last night, I'm not counting this game as a win.

Looks more like 3-3 right now. How much can they improve against UTSA?
