(5) Arizona vs. (1) Duke

Well, my dad passed away on Sunday and we had his funeral yesterday on my birthday, so regardless of how UNC does tomorrow night, I'm enjoying this beatdown tonight.

I'm sorry to hear that Regulator. I'm dealing with some similar circumstances, although not identical. I hope you get through it okay eventually. I'm also sure you are pleased with tonight's game. Good luck to the Heels' tomorrow.

Thank you. Hate to hear that for you. My dad's passing wasn't unexpected, as he'd been sick for some time, but it's still a rough experience. I hope you find peace and comfort through your situation. As far as the Heels tomorrow night, I'm not even watching live. Going out with the fam for belated b-day dinner, as it's been such a whirlwind week. Gonna DVR and hopefully avoid seeing the score.

I'm very sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what you are going through. My condolences. My fiancee's mother passed recently and her loss has been very difficult as well.

As much as I dislike UNC, I hope a Tarheel W can give you a little bit of a boost in such tough times. Good Luck Bud!

Not to mention Spring Practice has begun!!:loco:
0-0. Time to get after it!

A Rucker tweet: A bunch of Duke fans are sad tonight. A few of the fans even know what city Duke is in.
I lol'd

Zona sure took it to Duke. Totally destroyed my bracket. Pisses me off because bad calls at the last second saved Zona in the first 2 rounds.

Ehh I only had the Dookies to the 8. It doesn't kill me. My 4 was KU, UNC, UCONN, and Pitt, with KU beating UCONN. I'm still decent. On ESPN I'm in the 94.5 percentile

Sorry to hear. My dad and mentor passed 1 yr ago. I miss him dearly. Time heals, my man. If your mom is around, give her a little extra care. My mom still really struggles, but when she's around me and my kids it helps her greatly. Just my 2 cents.

Thank you, I appreciate it, and tell your dad to keep fighting.

Thank you, and sorry for your loss as well. My mom is doing pretty well, all things considered. It was a 3 year-plus battle with heart failure/congestive heart failure for my dad, so she's not had a lot of time for herself. Up until the last couple if months, my dad was still able to get around pretty well, but certainly wasn't up for travelling or things of that nature, so now my mom will be able to get out and do those things. Lots of friends and family as well, including 6 granddaughters, two of which (my 5yo and 11mo old) are still young enough for her to spoil.

That's great. Keeping her busy will really benefit her mental well being. Another 2 cents, don't feel guilty if you or your mom get senses of relief. My father was in a coma for 3 months after a stroke, then came back, then it happened again. I am always grateful that he, nor my family, are still having to go through that.

No doubt. He had been ready to go for quite some time, so watching him basically waste away towards the end was the hardest part. He's certainly better off now, and we're all grateful for that.
