We will never know that because they were penalized for going undefeated. What if this had of happened to Tennessee can you imagine the outcry and meltdown from the fans and media? It would never happen to Tennessee because they play a schedule worthy of a playoff appearance. FSU wasn't penalized for going undefeated. They were penalized because the ACC is trash and bo better than the Sunbelt. And obviously it is no longer considered a big boy conference. Every single team in the Playoffs has a better conference from top to bottom.
