#5 Georgia Bulldogs @ #1 Texas Longhorns (SEC on abc) 7:30

That's what the transfer portal is for

True, but before this game he was looking at going in the first round of the NFL draft in April.

He spends the rest of the year on the bench, he's gonna be a late round camp arm.

Heck of a fall from grace for Ewers. Either transfer and hope for the best or take a chance on going the Tom Brady route of being a 6th/7th round draft pick.

That’s rough. Bench your starter for the new guy and then that happens

Yeah, I think the Texas fans had convinced themselves that Manning was some kind of wunderkind waiting in the wings. And, he certainly looked good - against the lesser teams they rolled him out against. But UGA is the real deal, as they always are. Not saying Manning isn't a special talent, he is, but there was an air of "this guy is the best backup QB in the nation and could start at most schools" energy about him coming from Austin that probably wasn't fair.

Texas has the look of a beaten team. Every face looking like they want to be somewhere else. Welcome to the SEC. They should consider themselves lucky that they got one of the easiest schedules.

I know this is a worn out conversation topic becasue of the Big 12-SEC thing with OU earlier this year, but I don't think Texas had any idea what was coming into their stadium.

Very interested to see how they decide to respond in the second half. The QB controversy is going to grow if Ewers can't put anything together - but also if Manning struggles like he did in his appearance there.

Texas is not down worse because they are at home.

I’m trying to figure how we benefit from the results of this game. Not sure what helps us the most .

Am I the only one who would be interested to see the swat guy scowling behind Kirby before the half and the state trooper with the lantern jaw who always protects Heupel engage in some kind of test of manliness? Cage match, arm wrestle, caber toss, anything really.

Here is my take:

Vols don't play Texas so them winning makes little difference unless they're met in the SECCG. Being in that game is automatic for the playoffs win or lose.

So, is it better to beat a one- or a two-loss UGA?

Playing UGA in Athens would a loss to a one- or two-loss UGA be worse?

We needed to win today so we don't have to win in Athens to get in the playoffs. Mission accomplished.

We will make it in 90% if we just win other game most likely. Unless there’s just a crap
Ton of 10-2 teams. It’s why we want Texas to win this game. We need teams to start taking multiple ls
