There are other great BBQ restaurants in central Texas:

Cooper's in Llano - brisket, chicken
Kreuz's in Lockhart - pork chop and sausage
Smitty's in Lockhart - ribs, pork chop
Franklin's in Austin- brisket, I believe. I've not been there yet because of the 2 hour wait...

Louie Muellers in Taylor.

Btw any Vols in the DFW area wanting to get some great BBQ check out Lockharts in the Bishop Arts District. Great stuff. Iirc they are guys who trained at Kruez's (mentioned above post). Take the little lady there on a Saturday and she can go shopping in the boutiques. Get some good BBQ and then go sit a this little bar near by with outside seating while she walks around and shops. If this day doesn't get you some nookie on the way home then I really don't know what to tell you. Good luck and Happy New Yr :hi:

If I had any talent I would sign/walk on to UT without question. My 5 officials:

Arizona State- women, sunlight
Oregon- facilities, never been that far NW
ND- my father's all time dream school, would take him
Ole Miss- whiskey, women

Alabama- just to have someone call my phone during tour, fumble around my bag while Rocky Top blares as loud as the volume will go.

Here's my five:

Tennessee
Texas
Notre Dame
Miami
Oregon

I live in one of Austin's suburbs called Dripping Springs. Yes, Austin proper is definitely a liberal bastion. But, the downtown area is great for people watching, live music, and good food. I'd say Austin and the surrounding Hill Country is probably the best place in Texas to live, but it doesn't hold a candle to East Tennessee's natural beauty!

P.S. Yes, 6th street is still party central, but the homeless situation taints its flavor these days...

You said taint...uh huh huh... :)

Welcome. :hi:

In no particular order

Boston College
Michigan
UT
UCLA
Cal

I've always wanted to visit Boston and I have a thing for Cali. Michigan is on there simply because I've always loved their helmets.
