#5 Oklahoma vs #2 Ohio State, ABC

Apparently the OSU players were dancing and celebrating a bit too much on OU's field last year. Mayfield didn't like that. They mentioned it several times tonight.

They stayed on the field and sang their fight song / alma mater (Carmen Ohio) last year win they won. The same as they did after they lost the game tonight. They do it (as the marching band plays it) after games.

Similarly, Wisconsin has traditionally done the same thing (win or lose, since 1977, they've played the school's fight song On, Wisconsin as well as Varsity and some other songs for the entire remaining stadium audience - who sing along - in what the school calls "the 5th quarter").

I recall someone did this in Neyland a few years ago and the Vols stepped out and started a little jawing, maybe a few shoves. I remember how pathetic it looked to go out their as if to defend the shield after having your azz handed to you. I got no issues with what Oklahoma did, they earned it. Ohio State was right not to play the chicken hawk by running back on the field.

I've heard that. I also heard they were dancing around. I didn't see anything, I don't really care though. I can't stand Urban Meyer and Ohio State, I'm glad they got their butts kicked and had it rubbed in.

Seeing the post-game celebration in real-time was kinda cringeworthy.

Took Mayfield forever to unfurl the flag, he wasn't actually able to plant the flag into the ground, and then the chant on the OSU logo was really brief/restrained - like they were looking over their shoulders.

It was definitely a dick move.

But if our boys did that in Gainesville I'm sure we'd be laughing too

Agree- I too think it was a douche-bag move, however OSU (excuse me... THE OSU) program plays a couple of hard games a year, and squeaks by - then gets ranked high. Urban rides that and he's as douchie and douchie gets. I think its Karma to get that treatment every now and then.

Hard to plant a pole in artificial turf! Kind of like the astronauts planting the flag on Apollo 11. A couple of inches of powder with rock underneath. It blew down from rocket exhaust as they left!
