From what I heard he tweeted about racism in and around Ole Miss.

“I get in trouble for twitter so often,” the high schooler wrote. “I ain’t never tweeted nothing bad but I always get in trouble.”

To be honest, he didn't tweet anything racist, from that post anyway.

He did stir the pot about as vigorously as he could, though.

So does Alabama...

Today I have stood, where once Jefferson Davis stood, and took an oath to my people. It is very appropriate then that from this Cradle of the Confederacy, this very Heart of the Great Anglo-Saxon Southland, that today we sound the drum for freedom as have our generations of forebears before us done, time and time again through history. Let us rise to the call of freedom- loving blood that is in us and send our answer to the tyranny that clanks its chains upon the South. In the name of the greatest people that have ever trod this earth, I draw the line in the dust and toss the gauntlet before the feet of tyranny . . . and I say . . . segregation today . . . segregation tomorrow . . . segregation forever.

Alabama governor George Wallace. 1963. From his inauguration speech

Thanks for sharing. That might just be the dumbest political quote of all time.

#1. The title of this thread is totally inaccurate.

#2. The Klan does show up in and around Oxford with some regularity. The students at Ole Miss usually do a good job of shouting them down.

On another note, can we hold a national vote on whether or not we should keep Twitter? Geez.

True, was it Gov. Wallace? I remember a story recently on NPR with his daughter.

He also was at the University of Alabama trying to block the entrance of the first black students

The title reads like the player was being racist on twitter. He was calling Ole Miss racist. Two totally different things. I think that is what bamawriter is pointing out.

He tweeted about racism but doesn't support the racism.
