50 Killed 200+ Injured in Vegas Music Festival Shooting

This shows that Marilou Dantley (or someone claiming to be her) submitted a request for credit and listed her employer as the FBI. A simple internet search will turn this up, but it didn't turn up until recently. So for 2 years nobody has found this gem, but now they find it. GTFOH. Seems far more likely that an internet troll submitted a credit app to fire up the gullible among us.

And still zero footage of this guy entering the hotel has been released. He was either working on behalf of our government or was with someone that was (or their was someone very prominent with him that they don’t want people looking into).

I've seen pics from surveillance as he brought in the suitcases with the guns in them over time.

Why is everyone so obsessed with there being a conspiracy? People have bent over backwards to make this about everything from Muslim terrorism to antifa to claims of someone giving warnings ahead of time, a second shooter, etc.

Nonsense, all of it.

There are some unanswered questions though.

Yes, that's true. The guy's motivation is not known.

The problem is that in turn people just conjure up some wacky theory of their own, usually a reflection of a political or other agenda they might have, and their evidence in support of their theory ends up just being the absence of evidence to the contrary.

I have a hard time believing they have found nothing revealing a motive. It's odd that someone would commit such an act without leaving any clue as to why.

Odd, yes. But by itself that is evidence of nothing.

I have to think if they had firm evidence of a Muslim angle, an antifa angle, some sort of personal grudge, we'd have heard about it. Too many people would know it not to leak it.

Stop being crazy.

I agree it's not evidence, it's just suspicious and odd.

Maybe I’ve missed it then. Can you provide a link to the pics?

My own theory of conspiracy thinking and theorizing is that it is a crutch. It allows a person to justify taking an unrealistic position on something, usually to advance an underlying agenda, while blaming some sort of organized effort against them, that they don't have to prove or even identify. It is used by people who, for whatever reason, don't want to accept the simple truth.

It does not have to be an issue of partisanship, and I will be blasted, but please understanbd this is just an example: the Sandyhook hoax conspiracy. This is fronted by people who do not want to reckon with the implications for gun ownership of a mass shooting of little kids.

There’s been multiple videos released of him in the hotel. Back in the spring Either CNN or WaPo released a long detailed article with over like 5 minutes of footage of him

It's human nature to want nice, easily understood little stories that explain complex events. We do bad with uncertainty and ambiguity. Just because you don't the answers to every possible question doesn't mean there was a conspiracy.

Well, I admit I was wrong. Makes sense I would have missed it. I’ve been crazy busy the past 6 months or so.

(In no way to minimize the horrible tragedy here)... but the rates at Mandalay Bay are still very cheap two years later. I am looking at going to Vegas for New Year's and checking around. The standard rooms at Mandalay Bay are going for about $170 per night. It's one of the nicest places on the strip (although, on the far end and kind of out of the way from everywhere else). That is slightly less than half of what it was before the massacre. They must be hurting for business.
