#6 California at #11 Oregon will not...

Six of the ten teams ranked ahead of UofO all looked worse than the Ducks this weekend. Oklahoma got dropped by Colorado who has been pitiful the last couple years. Florida just lost to Auburn, a team with one of the most inept offenses in the SEC. West Virginia's supposedly superb offense just got smacked by South Florida. Texas just got hammered by K-freakin'-State at home. Wisconsin has looked shakey all year, and Rutgers lost by 10 at home to Maryland. Oregon lost a close game at home to a team who could very well be one of the top 4-5 in the nation.

And they don't get top 10 how?

Normally I'm with you, you can't lose and then get top-10. But you have to consider what the teams ranked above them have done and did this weekend.
I hope Oregon moves up. But it's likely BC, Kentucky, Georgia, South Florida and SC will all leapfrog in. They'll probably stand pat or drop a spot or two. But it'd be awesome if they moved up.

The pillock-headed pundits won't care. 3-11 all lost this weekend (omitting Cal, OSU, and Wisconsin). Boston College (12), Kentucky (15), and South Florida (18) are undefeated at this point. Even though Boston College has played a soft schedule thus far, they'll possibly crack the top 10 because they're 5-0 right now. Kentucky and South Florida have both beaten ranked teams on the road while staying unbeaten at this point (USF also beat a top 5 team this weekend). Oregon hasn't. Boston College, South Florida and Kentucky will likely make up the back end of the top 10 when the polls are released.

1. USC
2. LSU
3. Cal
4. Ohio State
5. Wisconsin

In no particular order: South Florida, Boston College, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Florida will probably end up in the top 10.

I don't think Oregon will be solidly in, but I think they have a good shot at eeking in at #10.

Really? You think Oklahoma will stay top-10? I know it was a close loss, but it's Colorado. DIVISION-I FOOTBALL! Colorado. C'mon.

That was quite a jump for USF, BC and Kentucky. I still don't think Oklahoma should be top-10. That'd be like USC being ranked 7th after they lost to Washington State. Makes no sense.

Polls are pretty much a crapshoot in September. They never make a semblance of sense until mid-November. Too much parity in college football right now.
