I agree that this cant be just a bunch of hot air. If they are gonna do it then it has to be done the hole way. Its gonna be expensive.

We should set up a minefield all along the border. Jumping a fence is pretty easy, but you can't jump a minefield.

Why stop at the Mexican border?

DMZ the Canadian border and then put oil traps out like the British did to their coast line in World War II.

OWB, you apparently didn't read the end of the news story that described the signs they're gonna put up at each end of the fence that say, "No Going Around the Fence - No Exceptions!"

Someone forgot to tell these guys to build a fence in Long Beach Harbor as well.....those Chinese illegals didn't get the message on having to go through Mexico first.

Katrina is very much a business for many...it is a way for select individuals and companies to exploit and capitalize on all the taxpayer's who funded the rebuilding project(s). This works just like many other tax-funded governement operations and projects. Take subsidized housing for instance...this doesn't apply to all, but most...you are paying taxes into a system that pays rent so a lazy fat sack can sit at home and watch TV on a new plasma while complaining about being dealt a dirty hand in life. Rather than complain about it, you can understand it, join it, and work the system. Buy a few low-income houses and get back your taxes 10-fold.
