Wanted to post this in the football thread because my dad had been a long time Vols football fan all his life. Yesterday morning at 6 am he lost his battle and gained his heavenly wings. 75 years is a long life. And he watched every Saturday. Say a prayer for our family. Vol Nation is strong. We lost a good one. God Bless

Really makes you understand the meaning of “Vol for Life “ really is. Sorry for your loss. My Dad was the same. Loved all things Tennessee. The Hill is a special place.

Deep condolences in the loss of your Dad. I'm 75 too, so that's thought-provoking. Went to my first game in Neyland 1964. Many wonderful memories, just like your father. Vol Nation is a way of life. Take care.

Thoughts, prayers and best wishes sent. I lost mine 5 yrs. ago now... it never goes away, just becomes tolerable. We watched games together every Saturday. Right after he fell ill, we attended his last live game. The Outback Bowl vs. Wisconsin. It was a struggle a lot of the times for him to watch his beloved Vols without being able.to jump and cheer as he had suffererd multiple.strokes, but he always was ready to watch them with me. Love and miss him still. GBO
