Knew this would happen, but I was hoping Nebraska would have their traditionally great defense. Guess it's reverted to the Callahan days on that side of the ball.
He'd rather use his QB as a running back. 17 passes and 14 rushes for Martinez in the first half. Martinez will be dead before the season is over at that rate
They tried the same thing last year and it stopped working about halfway into the season. Are they planning on flaming out halfway through again in a tougher conference?
Could be flaming out already. If teams in the Big 12 can shut it down, I don't see why teams in the Big 10 can't. Big 10 is generally one of the better conferences defensively
I thought Wisconsin would win this before Wilson came so this doesn't make it any different, but with OSU's hilarious QB situation I'm thinking 12-0 is possible. Still, road trips to MSU and OSU are never easy regardless of the types of teams involved
Are there any explanations for Nebraska's complete nosedive on defense this year? Gave up 38 to a pedestrian Washington squad, 29 to Fresno, and this
Still, regardless of this game, no way Wisky replaces LSU/Bama/Oklahoma in top 3 for me. All four teams are excellent though. Boise's up there with them
No idea. The only thing I can think of is Martinez's awful numbers. He's only completing 50% of his passes so drives probably stall out quickly and the clock stops a lot. Would give opposing offenses more opportunities. Otherwise I don't know. Definitely doesn't help I'm sure
