I know the lefties here will be offended but I'm so over the emotional response from the left over the last 8 years.

I know it goes both ways but the level of screaming, teeth gnashing and over the top ranting about W has now been replaced by gushing, fawning, expressions of jubilation about Obama. Lefties just seem to need to express themselves emotionally more than righties.

Honestly people - take a Xanax and chill out. :)

They are and will. But they do not control the TV airwaves to the extent the left wing nutjobs do. So you will not see near as much of it.

Hell, I live in the South, I don't have to hear it on TV. It's all around me.

Thank you for admitting the left is a bunch of whackjobs. :)

Or does that only count when the right is bashing Lil' Hussein?

It's not funny when you do it either.

But yes, there are certainly plenty of left wing nutjobs.

Hey, I did say it goes both ways...

Really what I'm saying is that the form of expression seems more emotional - protests, screaming, etc.

Honestly, I've seen more of that from the right on this board, but I think that is only because there are more Rs than Ds here. Maybe I missed the primetime days of bashing Bush, but my experience has been that whether it be Gore, Pelosi, Reid, Clinton (take your pick), Obama, Kennedy, etc., there was always some sort of crap being spewed.

Maybe the democrats' attacks were only focused on Bush because he was such a wide target, and perhaps I would have missed it because I admittedly couldn't stand the way the guy conducted business....but I don't think so....

I know non-democrats are inundated with the Bush-gripe and Obama-lovefest onslaught elsewhere...but this board is special in that regard...I have to go take three or four deep breath's every day and PM OrangeEmpire to remind me that this is all in fun after a few Savage, GS, and joevol threads...oh yeah...better throw DAVol in there too.

A little Pew research to backup my mini-theory.

Democrats More Politically Active than Republicans - Media Buyer Planner

Emotional Reactions to Election

Liberal Democrats are more likely than other voters to say they would have an intense emotional reaction if their candidate does not win

Far more Obama supporters than McCain supporters say they would be angry and depressed if their candidate lost. Nearly four-in-ten Obama supporters (37%) say they would feel angry if McCain won, while 33% say they would feel depressed. Among McCain supporters, just 18% say they would feel angry - and 17% depressed - if Obama wins.

Liberal Democratic supporters of Obama - far more often than other Obama supporters - say that, if McCain prevails, they would experience all of the emotions mentioned. More than half of liberal Democratic supporters of Obama (56%) say they would be angry if McCain wins, compared with 37% of all Obama supporters.

The possibility of an Obama victory generates far less anger among conservative Republicans; just 20% say they would feel angry if Obama wins the election.

thus why I need the xanax....but, I'm not even willing to step foot onto the really liberal political sites/blogs...I would be popping them like tic tacs.

I'm just way too middle of the road on most issues to listen to too much of it. The only issue I have a strong opinion on that is ever brought up on here is GW, so I make my points there. I'm interested in all of it...just can't make a strong opinion...

I stay here because I enjoy it...but I'm serious about needing a Xanax occasionally...I'm afraid today may be one of them :)

I just thought I would take VBH's thread as an invitation to bit@$ :p
Damn liberals.

Trying to blame the right for their prescription drug addiction.
