well last summer was unusually cool. i can't rem last year being bad at all. then last winter(at least for huntsville, al) was unusually cold, and snowy. i've lived here for 10 years and before last year the most i saw it snow here might have been 2 inches. last year we had 2-3 snows of at least 5 inches. including one snow that was between 10-12 inches around the huntsville area.
that being said, the spring was unusually violent, and this summer has been pretty hot. is it just running a cycle?
I know that lg's post was about "global warming," but the current consensus amongst most scientists is that it's an overall global climate change. In short, the theory is that every season is getting more extreme. Winters are getting more severe along with the summers.

I wouldn't doubt there is just cycling going on, I'm just noting this summer has been brutal. Maybe it is just me getting older. I usually love the heat, but July made me really want Fall to get here.

Yep. Global warming isn't supposed to make it warmer everywhere. From its effects on the Gulf Stream, it could actually make areas like the UK a lot cooler.
That's really not accurate.

He does have a point - regardless of why he's posting it.
Not exactly sure - but I heard something on the radio referencing temperatures from the 1930s
That is the number of daily heat records broken in the U.S. in July.
For those of you who come on here claiming that a few cold winter days here or there means there is no global warming, ****.
