9/11 Conspiracy Thread

How long should that much debris reasonably be expected to smolder? How much debris was it? What was the debris composed of?

I’m not sure, but if it were just a few floors on each building that were affected by fire, it seems likely that all fires would’ve been snuffed out well before 6 weeks, imo...

NYFD said that they couldn’t explain why the rubble was still smoldering so long, nor had they ever seen it with any other fires...

"Just a few floors?" What do you suppose happened when the whole thing went down in a great big fire pit?

For everyone claiming that the WTC was a controlled demolition, I'd suggest looking up some videos and shows on the demolition of buildings. It takes an extensive amount of work to prep a building for demolition and have it fall where and how you want it to. I don't see how, with all of the people in and around the towers every day that they could have prepped these buildings without anyone noticing.

I guess there’s no way of telling exactly when it was cut, however, your link shows two pictures of the same column at different times...one being Oct 29, 2001, and there is a lot of smoke or smoldering still....that’s an awful long time for debris to still be smoldering...would you agree?

and they did such a good job that a plane ramming the building at some unknown floor level and resulting fires wouldn't effect the work done. truly, truly amazing.

I have seen a small camp fire smolder for 2+ days even after a hard rain.

all it takes is latent heat in all that thermal mass.

I’m still waiting on video footage from more than 1 of the 400 cameras from the Pentagon. Is there something there that proves it wasn’t a plane? Maybe.

The only "controlled demolition" of the WTC buildings was 2 Boeing 767's crashing into the side of each tower. The resulting damage and fire heated the remaining building steel to a point where it couldn't support the weight of the floors above it and when one floor gave way the resulting impact of the floors above it falling brought the entire structure down.

The most heavily videotaped place in the world...

And we got 1 video...that’s pathetic..

Found this video interesting.

I had forgotten how quickly both towers fell.

These times from another site, so may not match video exactly

8:46:40: Flight 11 crashes into the north face of the North Tower (1 WTC) of the World Trade Center, between floors 93 and 99. The aircraft enters the tower intact.

9:03:00: Flight 175 crashes into the south face of the South Tower (2 WTC) of the World Trade Center, between floors 77 and 85. Parts of the plane, including the starboard engine, leave the building from its east and north sides, falling to the ground six blocks away.

9:59:00: The South Tower of the World Trade Center collapses, 56 minutes after the impact of Flight 175.

10:28:22: The North Tower of the World Trade Center collapses, 1 hour and 42 minutes after the impact of Flight 11. The Marriott Hotel, located at the base of the two towers, is also destroyed.

5:20:33 p.m.: 7 World Trade Center, a 47-story building, collapses.

Then why have there been multiple experts in the field of demolition said that 9/11 looked exactly like a controlled demolition? Also, why did both towers and building 7 fall almost identical to how those controlled demoed buildings did?

This whole notion that it could not have been kept secret doesnt hold water. Our glorious government has been keeping huge secrets from us ever since. With unlimited resources and how corrupt the government is, it would likely have been much easier than you think to pull off.

because there is no other way for them to fall.

controlled demos work by blowing the supports, and letting gravity do the rest. gravity only works on one direction, down.
9/11 happened because the supports on multiple floors were destroyed or damaged, and gravity did the rest. gravity only works on one direction, down.

I have no idea why you think the towers should have toppled like a tree chopped by a lumberjack.

The designers knew that there was at least some risk that with buildings that tall that a plane could possibly hit them. They were meant to absorb the impact and if they fell, go straight down as opposed to toppling over. They were engineered to fall the way they did, not demolished to fall that way.

Ever get the idea you're arguing in circles with some of these folks?

This again. (and by again I mean we're nigh on 20 years...you think this hasn't been addressed by now?)

OK, forget what anybody "says". I'm asking you to believe your eyes. This is WTC tower footage. Take a breath, look closely, and tell me what you see. Look how the collapses start exactly at the damage line and how the collapse progresses exactly floor by floor, top down. MAKE yourself notice this...sequential, floor by floor, top down.

Now these are controlled demolitions.

Please tell me you can notice the obvious, obvious difference.

Based on the size and scale I'd say it's not out of the realm of impossible
It's still amazing to me based on the vast amounts of water sprayed on the site by FDNY and the rainfall over the fall of 2001.

Not sure what the oxygen source / heat source that could have sustained it for that extended period of time.

once again, you have not spent much time around fire have you? There is a reason Smokey the Bear is always saying "Only you can prevent forest fires".

You should put it out and then bury it under dirt/sand. the bigger the fire, the harder that is. not just from a size standpoint but because it sustains itself a bit.

Condescend much?

You and I have a difference of opinion.

No need for the attitude.

The entire fire was also covered in concrete dust.
