VT doesn't play a style that brings out a back and forth type game. defense, run the ball, play special teams.
if it gets in to a back and forth type game, i'd probably say KS benefits. VT's defense though won't let that happen.
windy, windy, windy........:blink:I don't necessarily mean back and forth with the score of kansas leading one minute then vt the next, I just mean both of them scoring points a bit. VT has played before with this happening, them scoring, the other team scoring, them scoring, etc., but at that point it didn't matter because VT was clearly going to win by scoring a bit at the beginning or at the end.
If you honestly think that USC won't be up for a BCS bowl in their own back yard when they believe they are the best in the county therefore out to prove a point then I don't know what to tell you.
That's a run-on sentence but I don't care.
agreed. watching the bowl selection show on ESPN last night, corso had an excellent point about Missouri.Glad to see the Orange Bowl ended up with another matchup I won't have to waste my time going to see. I thought it couldn't get worse than the Wake Forest-Louisville suckfest from last year. Alas, they managed to find an even more craptacular pairing this year.

they beat Illinois........playing in the rose bowl....they beat KS....playing in the Orange Bowl...........not fair.
Mizzou/VT would be a far more entertaining and enticing match up.
i mean congrats to KS and all, but they simply didn't do anything to get there but lose at the right time. there is absolutely no reward for playing for a conf. title unless you win it. otherwise, the reality is it's not even worth playing in it.
that is the difference. if we had lost to KY and GA lost to LSU in the title game...........FL would be going to a BCS bowl, not GA.That is true, but at the same time where do you draw the line? I mean for example Tenn and UGA. Uga has 2 less losses than us but we did beat them. Thats all the same with Kansas and Mizz as you brought up.

I could care less if that game is close. It has the entertainment value of a swimsuit contest between Bea Arthur and Star Jones.agreed 100% but,
do you really think VT is going to run Kansas out of the stadium? I think this game will be closer than expected.
oh and p.s. everyone,....
Mizzou got screwed
Lex, thank God the game is at 1 p.m. and most ppl will not be drinking because they will still be nursing hangovers from the night before. If this game were on a Thursday at 7 p.m., I'd need some deputies to escort me around the joint.
