I'm a bit late on this, but:

4th and 1 at the IU 7 and OSU decides to try to throw for it, rather than take the FG and make it a 2 score game with 4:39 left in the game (whose bright decision was THAT? If you're OSU, that would have sealed the game right there).

I know their kicking isn’t good but that earlier miss from 45 really wasn’t a bad kick. He barely missed. Totally agree you kick it there.

Right. There's no real reason to justify it there unless you literally don't have a player that can kick a 35-yard or less FG.

You'd be up 10 with 4:39 left. Even if IU scored quickly on a drive, they'd still not only have to score again but at that point in the game they'd still pretty much have to recover an onside kick.

Indiana’s coach want to coach in the SEC?

Maybe (and I don't think he'd be a bad hire for a program), but at the same time I also worry a portion of our fans might also start throwing a fit about him not being "a big name coach" or not coming from a successful, big-name football program.

14 seconds left, IU with balk at OSU 38. Down 7

OSU continues its winning streak over Indiana to 27 games. Ohio State just has games remaining against Illinois, Michigan State, and Michigan, so pretty much go ahead and pencil them in to play the Wisconsin/Northwestern winner.

Couple dropped passes hurt at the end. Especially the guy that dropped it at the sideline going out of bounds

Yeah, but they had quite the hole to try to dig out of first, which hurt their overall time situation, too. The fumble before halftime at the OSU13 really hurt things the most, especially on top of giving OSU enough time to score another TD before they got the ball back at halftime.

That not only took 3 to 7 points away from IU, but it gave OSU another 7 points at the same time.

You take that way and IU leads by 3-7 points at the very least until around the 6-7 minute left in the game mark or possibly even at the game's end.

This year looks like it might be the closest Indiana could get to a Big 10 Championship Game: a win here would have putting them in the lead in the conference by a game plus a tiebreaker with games remaining against Maryland, Wisconsin, and Purdue.

Actually, the more I think about it, this was probably the school's best/closest scenario/situation at anything like a CFP berth or national title shot as well: a win over #3 OSU probably would have jumped them up and into (or just outside of) the CFP discussion picture, with games remaining against Maryland, ranked Wisconsin, Purdue, and the ranked winner of Wisconsin/Northwestern.

It's still looking to be one of the best teams they're ever fielded and a year they will likely be proud of by the end of it, but boy does that leave a lot on the table for a school that doesn't get a ton of these types of scenarios in this sport. (That fumble before halftime really leaves quite a damper on the season)

IDK if there is a thread on the Wisconsin/Northwestern game but Ramsey just threw a near perfect TD to put Northwestern up with a minute to go in the 1st half.

Big 10 Championship Game pretty much a certainty at this point to be Ohio State vs Northwestern.

Admit it, how perfectly 2020 bizarre, weird, and hilarious would it have been had this year's Big 10 Championship Game (in football mind you!) had been...Indiana vs Northwestern?
