Kinda silly to be getting so worked up over Bowden's struggles. Like he's the only problem. This team is limited in so many different areas and his shooting is just one of them. No one can consistently put the ball in the hole. No one is a presence in the paint. We've got a kid who just stepped off the plane running the team and is a turnover machine. We have zero depth.

If anything, Bowden is being asked to be something he really isn't programmed to be. He's not a lead dog. Not a guy who can pick a team up and carry home. It's not in his DNA and it's just snowballed on him. I feel for the kid.

he can jump well. He is a streaky shooter. Right now he is in a terrible streak. He does not have a good handle and looks pretty uncoordinated. He looks like he is about to fall down at any minute. Some of this has to be from trying too hard.

Excellent post. I feel bad for him too. You know he is feeling the pressure to make shots for his team and as he keeps missing, that pressure keeps building.

You could make a video on how not to break a press from us today. At one point every time we appeared to break it the next player in line immediately dribbled to the sideline into a trap.
Geez, I noticed it, too. It was pathetic. More than once, it was Bowden, a senior.

I find it mind-blowing that a guy that has been in the program 4 years now kept doing that. I understand he's in a horrible shooting slump, but fundamentally picking his dribble up and getting trapped like he did is inexcusable. Over and over........

Turn off the green light from 3 point range, run some plays to get him that fall away from the paint. We need him on defense.

Yeah, this was part of the thinking in my postgame report, point #1, where I call into question the basic fundamental mistakes that this team makes.

Move him to point. Couldn't be any worse that what we have there. James and Vescovi move to wings and let Bowden feed them. Would knock off about 10 TOs too.

No it wouldn't. I've seen several bad takes today from you. Bowden picks up his dribble too much.

He is too good defensively and that's about the only way we will win games. Unfortunately, there is no one else that can come in and play as well on D and do any better scoring. In my opinion he should be told there is no green light on 3's and should be told to dribble drive and feed Vescovi on the wing. As a matter of fact, our entire offense should be penetrate and pass to Vescovi for 3. That dude can shoot!

The problem with that is that we don't really have scoring options. If a team covers V from the arc and prevents Fulky's pick and roll, we are lost on offense.

Bowden's struggling AT HOME. He looked much more comfortable on the road. High pressure, high expectations for the senior. Make him 6th man to get pressure off of him. Can still play him 30+ minutes

For the host of you here saying Jordan needs to be benched. (Yes he's in a big slump) ... Have you seen the rest of our offense that will take the floor without him?

Bowden has to keep shooting the open shots but a few of those he threw up yesterday we can do without.

I think this is part of the problem. Bowden is shooting too many last second shots because the offense is not clicking as it should be by now. Bowden is used to the inside out game, not the outside out or desperation game.

A part of the glaring statistics yes, but he’s also shooting terribly when wide open.

He needs to keep shooting. End of story. If he's open he has to shoot. It's not like anybody else is making them. Maybe James and he needs to keep shooting open shots as well. We are getting nothing inside till someone starts making shots.
