We should be the #1 team ... to be booted from the Top 25.

Jmo.
Coming from both of you I would expect you to say that, but you also have Mush-Chump coming back which negates Driskel's return.

Pre-season polls no longer count toward the national championship.

Just typing that makes the world seem like a better place.

Seriously, we have another murderous schedule with a whole new offensive and basically defensive line. Still no definite # 1 QB, lots of new freshman who I think will be playing alot. I don't see us in the top 25 at the end of the season either. Not a slam, nothing would make be happier ( well, other than a Vol copy of the auburn season) to see us in the top 25. We will be hard fit to win 6 or 7 games unless this young team really matures quickly and surprises a lot of people. Brick by Brick.

If Florida continues their awfulness, they will soon stoop to irrelevance and lack of respect as we have. One terrible season isn't enough to do that, but if they go down our path, they will stop bring respected by national media. After our first losing season (2005) we were ranked to start 2006. But once we continued the trend of losing a few years later we became an afterthought.

I count seven top 25 ....the three top 10 teams and Mizzou , UGA, Ole Miss and Florida

Dang...don't even know your own conference...

After the three top ten teams you get to Louisianna State which is long hand for LSU. Then right above Mizzou you have Texas A&M. That makes 9.

Based on losses of key players, I wouldn't put Mizzou or A&M in top 25. And I would make gators earn their way back in...just like us. I wouldn't put Clemson above 20 either as they were purged of all key players. uscW shouldn't be higher than 24 as they lack depth. Louisville will falter this year as well.

Maybe thow in Iowa and Wisconsin in towards the bottom.

Everyone else looks about right.

Two thirds of our 12 regular season games are against preseason top 25 teams. Nice schedule Butch has going for him.

Florida is headed to the dumps shortly after looking like a national championship team against us.

Tennessee can win all the games that include teams not in top 25 but maybe one game

I definitely see Tennessee beating Florida and at least one other team in the top 25

Schedule is nowhere near as tough as last year.

How on earth do you "definitely" see Tennessee beating a team they haven't beaten since 2004? Not saying it couldn't happen, but come on.
