Finally, an actual game. Maybe...

Hope South Carolina uses it as a tuneup game to crush Vanderbilt.

So excited for football that I'll probably watch Washington State at BYU after. Was interested to see what Jake Heaps would do but just saw that he transferred to Kansas? We appear to have lucked out that Kiffin got his 4th choice or whatever Bray was.

Am I the only one who would rather see Spurrier get embarrassed? I don't like Franklin or Vandy, but my hatred for Spurrier is much deeper. Let's not forget his Florida days.

If I were a Vol, I'd be pulling for Vandy. Vandy isn't going to be in the SEC East conversation, and a USCe loss helps open up the field for a darkhorse Tennessee.

Normally I would agree with your logic but for me personally living in the Nashville area I've had enough of the Franklin hype. I'm ready for that house of cards to crumble and tonight seems like a good time to start. I think USCe exposes Vandy tonight.

Yeah, honestly the ideal for us would be Vanderbilt pulling the upset here (unless some here are actually worried about it somehow "turning on" their future recruiting), and then in week 2 A&M beating UF and Missouri upsetting UGA...

I would like for USCe beat Vandy by 20+ points.

Then I think about about it. It may be better for UT if Vandy pulls this one out somehow.

If TN is going to compete in the east it is going to be against USCe and GA.
An early conference lose for USCe could be helpful to TN.
Vandy is going to get drilled in a few games, they will not compete in the east.

EDIT: Bamawriter beat me to it.

This.

Just want to watch football actually. Don't care who.

I considered Vanderbilt beating South Carolina potentially being better for Tennessee but screw it, I can't stand Franklin and even more so, Vanderbilt fans. I don't want Vanderbilt fans to have the satisfaction of beating last years division winner. I'm content to let Tennessee and South Carolina play out head to head rather than pull for a team as pathetic as Vanderbilt to do Tennessee's dirty work. If it were down the road and needed Vanderbilt to beat South Carolina, I would pull for Vanderbilt but I can't do it in the first game of the season. I hope they go 0-12.

Some people use clouded judgement...Franklin is the new villian and everybody wants to see him get trampled when it reality We should be rooting for him to beat USCe so it helps us in the long run.....I hate Spurrier

If Tennessee is going to win the division then this game won't matter one way or the other

Screw candy

Exactly. UT has never needed Candy in the past to help them out. They don't need them now. Franklin and Candy fans are so desperate for attention and reassurance that they belong in the SEC that they're like the fat kid screaming on the playground begging someone to pick him for their team. F em. Let em rot in hell.
