a BBQ place in Nashville?

a friend of mine is in for a conference for this weekend in Nashville and if i have it right she should be close to Vanderbilt,where are the best BBQ places there ? that aren't to far away ? and won't get her shot either

I haven't lived in Nashville in a few years, but everyone was batsh*t crazy about Whitt's. It wasn't bad, but I didn't think it was that great.

I'm in the minority though, so maybe that would be a good place. I really can't think of another decent BBQ place, but if you find a Fat Mo's, they are my absolute favorite burgers of all time.

Martin's BBQ is one of the best in Nashville IMO, or Edley's is great too.

place right behind Marios is usually good and a good atmosphere. Can't remember the name of it though. Used to go to this place called Chu that was next door.

The Judge's Vinegarroon is close as well. That's the Judge Bean's guy and it's goo oood.
Sportsman's is also right there and specializes in bbq on thin cornbread.

Nowhere near Vandy though. Jacks on Broadway is close. The others I mentioned are all near Vandy or within @ 5 minute drive/cab.

Edleys on 12 south is pretty close - their pork and wings are really good. I also like B&C BBQ on Franklin - a bit of a longer ride but still only a couple of miles from Vandy.

Watch it now. Went to bbq cutie on Nolensville a couple of weeks ago. Ribs, pork, smoked turkey and cheeseburgers and it was all excellent. Also got a smoked turkey there for Christmas, put some various rubs on it, grilled on the green egg for a little while. Bam. 4 flavors of smoked turkey for me.
Don't bring a cali tude onto cutie.
