Nope. Didn't know there was a book about Cromton out there. I did get Inky's book a while back. Great read, and very inspiring.

I tried to buy it twice. The first time I went to put it on the counter and accidentally threw it into the ground and injured a toddler. The second time, I stood in the aisle reading too long and got sacked.

Dont understand the Crompton hate. Poor kid had what 3 or 4 different OC's? He had a really good SR Yr. Just dont understand the dislike towards him.

I liked him to -- but someone writes a book about him and tries to sell it for 81 dollars (on sale) come on --

I find it interesting that many people think posting something negative about the program will drive recruits away, but find nothing wrong with trashing former Vols who didn't live up to their unrealistic expectations. I guess recruits think that's funny? Hmmm.

I don't dislike any former player. The poor guy stuck around through coaching changes and I have no doubt he tried his best. But let's be honest. He was pretty much a disaster of a QB until October of his Senior year.

"how to get your coach fired" by Jonathan crompton.

But seriously I don't believe crompton was terrible. A lot of life is luck and unfortunately for Jonathan he had some very bad luck during his tenure. First of all he never had an opportunity to compete for the starting because of the debacle that happened a couple of years prior when fulmer was indecisive between clausen and ainge. Then once Jonathan finally did get his opportunity we hadn't been recruiting well and didn't har many prieces around him. Also because of the turmoil he and the rest of the offense had to constantly learn new systems. Then during his sr season if we can just make 1 out of 2 attempts at a short field goal we'd have beaten no.1 ranked bama on the road. When will that cloud leave?

Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

Is this an early April fool's thread? Who would write a book about a lousy college QB who won nothing? Did Crompton write it himself?
