Don't know about that. But at this time they're allegations, and UT/BP have not filed their response or had it heard. Not all bumps put schools on probation or put coaches on show cause orders; few do.

how ridiculous. Pearl didn't just bump into the player at a gas station because he went inside to buy a Slim Jim. It happened in the gym. To pretend like he didn't know what players were in there is just pathetic.

I understood he was evaluating another player at another school, legally, when the bump occurred. I'm not saying he didn't know, but everything is not always black and white. And that's where the importance of the reporting of the bump to someone at the University has importance. Early reports were that it was reported and determined not significant. MH said he was not informed. I see this a very relevant issue, and really don't know who is right. i guess you have to pick your side. If you dislike BP, the bump was not reported to the University; if you dislike MH, it was.

However, said bump violation occurred after the cookout and tearful apology. That's not the primary issue with the impending show cause order.

I can't see how one's love for Bruce determines whether or not he reported the alleged "bump". This whole subject is starting to get laughable with all the tangents it's headed into.

Exactly. Even if he didn't know the kid was going to be there, you just don't approach him or talk to him. It's not really that hard. But Pearl couldn't do that. Whether he reported it or not, he still is in the wrong, just 72 hours after his little crying party about how bad he felt for cheating and lying. It has nothing to do with sides, it has to do with him having no control over himself when it comes to the ethics of his profession.

It has more to do with a tearfull presser where he said he was sorry. He had learned his lesson and would not lie again. A few days later he did.
