A Final Four could be possible if...........

Please don't put Final 4 expectations on this years team. There is no way we are going to the Final 4 after losing 3 senior starters whose team leadership and NCAA experience is invaluable. The only possible scenario I could see us getting to the Final 4 would be if Jerome Maymon is a baller and does very well as soon as he is eligible and T. Harris is a first team All-SEC type player along with Hopson. I don't think we have the point guard play to take us deep into the tournament, nor the interior scoring threat, which are vital in the postseason. Don't get me wrong I love Goins and we wouldn't have won the first round game last year without him, but he is inconsistent and I don't think he passes well enough or has great court vision. He's D on the other hand, is out of this world.

Sweet 16, should be a realistic goal for this team. Florida is going to be the best team in the SEC this year, but I do think we will challenge Kentucky for second place. In regards to UK, you can win the conference relying on fresh. but it's extremely hard to make the Final Four, let alone win a championship. I know the Fab Five did it twice and Carmelo did it, but UK is not going to win national championships with this 1 and done setup they have.

On a side note, we have some serious revenge to take out on Vanderbilt after our humilating losses last year. I'm looking forward to that matchup.

Does anyone think about the possibility of Hopson actualizing and Tobias being better than expected buoyed by Pearls confidence carrying over to this year? Could be really special.

We don't have a clue at this point what type of team this will be molded into. Bruce wants to run and gun and play the type basketball that players love to play and fans love to watch. The next time a talent laden team of Pearl's is capable of playing his style of basketball they could make a very strong run. I am guessing the chances are 50/50 this team can play his style this year.
