A genuine head coach.

I clicked on the link, saw it was 23 mins of Franklin, shut it of. That would be 23 mins of my life I will never get back and I could really care less what he has to say. He has done a good job at Vandy, but I really don't care much for him.

Honestly didn't find a thing wrong with that.

He mentioned Tennessee in a good way and didn't use he's smart remarks. I may of gained a needles width of respect for him.

I haven't kept up with why we are all supposed to dislike him. So I was very confused listening to him on the radio yesterday because I didn't feel he said anything negative at all.

After reading some of your posts, I have noticed some striking similarities with your posts and another "visitor" we have here at this time. Could mean nothing, but it's interesting just the same.
would love to know who this Visitor is, And at the same time (unlike you) I see it for what it is on the field. Wins and loses tell the story better than any excuses some on here can come up with!

He's Vandy's version of Bruce Pearl. When he's you're coach, you love him. When he's not you can't stand him.

UT fans don't like Franklin because he has Vandy competing and winning a few games. I guess he's made some anti-UT comments in the past and it sent this place into a frenzy.

Just wondering if he mentioned anything about backing out of this year's games with Ohio State and Northwestern? Oh, and next year's game with Northwestern?

How do you know butch means what he says? just curious.. Franklin is a hell of a coach like it or not he takes a lot less and does more than anyone in the SEC with it! If the staff we have can not motivate our players and come up with a scheme to beat Vandy this game we may have the wrong staff!

"Best staff in America" ... "Mo Couch got heat exhaustion today", that's why he didn't practice" ... etc ...

I like Butch Jones a lot, but wearing orange colored glasses is not a good idea IMO.

I'm sure glad we have one... Butch says what he means and means what he says. This other guy (Franklin) is so full of it though, he skirts around questions and downplays things that clearly mean a lot to him..

Asking about competing against UT for recruits in the area (aka losing out on Hurd, Vic, Gaulden, Barnett, and so on), you can tell it bothers him because he downplays it and mentions competing against Stanford and Northwestern.

Then a mention of how big the UT game is, if Vanderbilt wants to grow as a program.. he downplays it again... When in reality, you know he knows that the only way he can grow their fanbase is to start turning the tide against UT.

Just listen to the guy, and it's easy to see that he feeds the media so much BS. Thank God we have a real coach.

It's called coach speak and CBJ is as guilty as anyone.

The only coach I know of that really speaks his mind is Spurrier, and even he is guilty of coach speak now and again.
