A team that is truely pround to be Volunteers and wear the big orange. A coach who loves his school, fans, and team...a nice change to what we have had lately.

With the thread title I was expecting something that would require a sarcastic response. Instead I got chillbumps. Great post. Survive and Advance.

It's the most thrilling, rip-your-shirt-off-and-run-through-the-neighborhood-screaming win by any sports team that I root for since UT's football win over Florida in 2001. At least.

Very strange to be so hoarse and exhausted and spent while sitting in my own living room.
That's what I'm talking about. Glad I didn't break something when the ten second call happened.

While we are thanking players, do not leave out "Big Butt", oh, I mean "Big Baby!" Brian Williams. He is becoming a little bit of a media darling.

Wayne got a look in his eye that I've never noticed before. He wanted it bad and made it happen.

He had so much emotion and his face read "WE ARE NOT GOING HOME YET!"

I already miss him!

:cray:

Thinking about the passion this team has gives me goosebumps. Even Woolridge who doesn't get any minutes, is so passionate. I love it!

I have never been as proud of a team as I am right now. I sit here...still working on lowering the blood pressure... trying to glue the hair back on my head that i pulled out... trying to regain my voice... PROUD....of a Tennessee TEAM. Never in my life of bleeding orange has a basketball game ever compared to the electricity of a football game...until tonight. I cannot say enough to the Seniors of this team... for what they've endured this season... for what they've proved this season....that a team with HEART can play with anyone. I will remember this night for the rest of my life. Weezy...JP....B. Maze... thank you! You guys have given your all for Tennessee...we are going to miss you all greatly! GO VOLS!

Great words

As a fairly new Vol fan, my hat is off to those of you who have been Orange your whole life. This, incredibly enigmatic basketball team has been frustrating at times, incredible at times, and just plain puzzling at times, but they have figured out that the key is "Just win baby". That was one of the greatest basketball games that I have ever watched. Just last week I posted about how much better this team would be if Brian Williams would own the paint and tonight he did. Chism played like his pants were on fire. JP Prince, for all of the crap, I and others have laid on you this year, I take it all back. You have been a difference maker in this tournament. Defense, offense, ball movement, hustle. You've left it all out on the court and it hasn't gone unnoticed. Tough D, hustle, dominate the paint and you can keep on winning. You will probably never have a better opportunity to be a champion than right now. Thank you for an exciting season and keep on winning.

Another in tears... My dad used to take me to games when I was a kid. Then Coach Mears came, his family joined our church. There would be five or more players in chuch on Sundays... It was really cool for a bunch of twelve year olds when he asked us how much we had grown that week.

Anyway, UT basketball has held a special place for me. I can't express what I feel at the moment, but know Coach was watching, and I wish he had been here courtside. Now though we have Coach Pearl, and I'm happy to see him fill Coach Mears' shoes so well

It IS great to be a Tennessee Vol!

I seen that too. He made this win happen. Great job tonight, and way to get your team to believe too Weezer. Unreal performance tonight.

Ditto everything being said. I haven't been as excited about a Tennessee game like this in a long while(football included). Wayne Chism is my new Hero. He was not going to let us lose. It is great to be a TENNESSEE VOL!
