A hex on Tebow?

Since the topic is Sports & God and If one believes that there is a GOD, which i do, and also that he knows every detail about us and our lives to the extent that he even has the numbers of hair on our head counted,

Matthew 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered,
&
Luke 12:7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows,

than is it very possible that he could use someone/something even as trivial as a football player/game, that is followed/watched by millions, to make a point(s), maybe not through wins/loses per se but who knows.

I don't, however, believe GOD is a Broncos fan or profess to know the mind of God but i think one would be wrong to think that he would not/could/has not used that as a stage to reach someone no matter how trivial it seems to us.

Many sparrows aren't really all that valuable.

Are not two sparrows sold for a small coin? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father's knowledge. Even all the hairs of your head are counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (Matthew 10:29-31)

Here yo go Volatile, the unedited version for the heathens..lol..jk

So, a human is worth a few small coins?

Do you have a comprehension problem?

It states clearly our worth is more than many coins/sparrows but the Lord is even concerned/aware of them even when they fall from the sky and he values us much more than that.

It what is commonly refered to as an analogy.

That's a strange statement for a treehuger to make.

As a matter of fact he does, a very acute problem.

As far as humans go, we are told that not a hair falls from our head that God doesn't know about.

If God is going to intervene in Nature in order to maker a point, what is the purpose of being subtle about it and why not feed the starving persons in Africa while he is at it?

2 Timothy 3

11

persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra, persecutions that I endured. Yet from all these things the Lord delivered me.

In fact, all who want to live religiously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Saying that Tebow is being persecuted as Paul was is absolutely ridiculous. Tebow is being teased and, in the process, making millions and living a very comfortable life.

WTF is that about?

You must not have witnessed Maher's latest inane diatribe.

To unreal:

He is making his money on athletic ability, not religious or political views.

FWIW, what do you see as the motivation of the leftist attack on Tebow's religious statements?

He is making his money on athletic ability, not religious or political views.

And, unlike what is alluded to in your cartoon, he is not being persecuted in the sense that Paul was speaking of; in fact, Tebow is living a very posh life (a life that would make it difficult for him to get to heaven according to Jesus).

FWIW, what do you see as the motivation of the leftist attack on Tebow's religious statements?

I am not sure there was a problem until Tebow decided that he was more than just an athlete and threw his two cents into the political arena by starring in an anti-abortion ad. I, personally, do not care for the political viewpoints of entertainers, regardless of which side of the fence they stand on. That said, Tebow put his religious beliefs out there in a very polemical and political way; he can sleep in the bed that he has made.

I also think Tebow is a very, very bad professional QB and am upset that whenever one wants to point that out they are immediately thrown into the 'you hate Tebow because he is a Christian Camp'. No; in the NFL the receivers he is throwing the ball are open if they have half a step on their defender. At Florida, they were open with a step and a half to two steps, giving Tebow plenty of margin for error. Without that margin, he is a fullback.

Let the record state I do not hate Timmy for his religion, I hate him because he is a Florida Gator and a terrible quarterback. Not to mention the fact I don't like hearing about Tebow every second of every day from ESPN and other media sources.

Well, their hex didnt work. He got much further than he had any right to go.

His body is beat all to crap, tho. He won't be able to play for too many more years (his style isn't conducive to a long career in the NFL), but he had the heart, it can't be denied.
