A House Divided...

I know how you feel brother, as you I dressed my youngest daughter in orange, took her to two dozen games, and she decided to go to Alabama. I listen to the static daily. Where did we fail….
Same here; my son and daughter inlaw have three degrees from Bama. I'll give them credit, they have a very nice campus.

My three grown kids have only know GA. My girls don't follow football, except to check the score to make sure I'm ok. ha My son is a sports nut. Tells me TN is his team, but I know he likes the Dawgs too (and Falcons). I was traveling Sunday and didn't see Dobbs ball'n. He was bragging about what Dobbs was doing and was pulling for him to beat his Falcons. I think we just became MN fans, like we became Colts fans... Even if they weren't born in TN, they know Tennessee. Go Vols.

My daughter is 9, asked me if she could wear my TN stuff to school last week. Hasnt watched a single game with me, but she knows her heart loves Orange :).

Parental neglect! Good thing they’re too old for Protective Services to take custody

Wife and I are both UTK grads. Three kids all born in Huntsville. Daughter is a grad of UA Huntsville and both boys are Auburn grads. All three are dyed-in-the-wool Big Orange fans. Youngest even drove his TN orange jeep wrangler in Auburn with a PowerT wheel cover on the back. Now we'll just have to indoctrinate the grandkids the same way.

At least she's smart, I mean, she turned down Bama and Missouri is academically a good school.

I'd let her eat on the porch for Thanksgiving.
Based on what we're seeing on college campuses now, I'm not sure there are any "academically good schools". When the faculty teaches intolerance, the administration squelches open debate, promotes hate, and does not condemn terrorism, it can't be a good school. JMO.

Patience, fellow Vols. My 14 year old grandson started off being all Notre Dame, all the time. Last year when Tennessee beat Bama and saw all the excitement…he’s going to Tennessee. I told my stepson that if he was around me growing up, Notre Dame would be an afterthought.

Well, it has come down to this...Mommy and Daddy against Daughter. My daughter is now a first-year student at Mizzou. For 18 years, I dressed her in Tennessee garb, and now she's wearing Mizzou colors.

I have to cheer for my alma mater. Don't know what to do with her if she comes home for Thanksgiving boasting and bragging over a win. Can't let that happen!
Well, my daughter was very happy with the outcome. She was at the game and found the crowd to be electric. Obviously, our team had all plugs pulled from the wall. We had no energy or spark.

It will be a long Thanksgiving week when she shows up with her Mizzou merch. Maybe we can do something meaningful with basketball.
